Anna-Maria's Autentico Ristorante Italiano
Anna-Maria and Christian started their Ristorante for the love they both have for exquisite fine dining, their passion for cooking, and the fun of entertaining.

It all started by inviting some of Chris’ guests over for dinner after long hours at work in the sales force at a well known Brand resort on the island. After dining, these guests would encourage Anna-Maria and Chris to open their doors to the public, giving everyone the opportunity to taste their delicious recipes.

Would Go Back

First off, all these people saying they are from new york and eat in little italy so they know italian food are delusional.
Mulberry Street is an absolute joke and the food at Anna Maria is far better. Everything is cooked to order is fresh. I payed over $50 for a lobster/pasta dish that was excellent. Yes it is expensive but you are on a resort island. If you want cheap food go to a chain restaurant like hooters!! or eat with the masses who crowd the ever popular and very Vanilla Gianni's. No, it does not compare to food in Italy and nor should it. Maybe if Bobby Flay or Rachel ray said it was great others would as well.

Had a perfectly delightful time @ Anna Maria....it is
a must every time we visit Aruba. The Bolognese is
incredible. My husband orders every time! I
recommend anyone going to Aruba should put on
restaurant list and I will assure them a delicious
meal for sure.

Had a bad experience with the food and the owner. I guess he didn't like my bad review on Trip Advisor and replied with lies. Very arrogant man. Nice place but food is not what the hype makes it to be. Overpriced and ordinary. Will never go back even if it was free.

The hype is greater than the restaurant

We had a party of four. The salads were good. The soups were good. The waiter was friendly and accommodating. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. I enjoyed it. The shrimp were a bit over cooked but ok. My wife had gnocchi. The menu said it was in a filletto di pomadora sauce. It arrived in a marinara sauce. My wife didn't enjoy the sauce. Our friends had pasta. She ordered spaghetti in a fra diavalo sauce. It arrived in a overly oily marinara sauce with no heat. He ordered spaghetti with shrimp. He said the food was ok but not for $40+ dollars they charged. He said a bowl of spaghetti with five small shrimp isn't worth the price.
I had the brownie desert. It was good but very small. My friend had the same complaint. This was our second year visiting this restaurant. We are seriously contemplating dropping it from our list of restaurants we frequent while in Aruba.

Disappointment

Sep 11, 2014 - posted by
Situated in the middle of nowhere where you have to ring the bell! (there 's no sign: restaurant), where you can come in despite not having a reservation (!), you expect a lot. Well, disappointment. To start bread and oil is served, the oil is perfect, but the bread is sweet! We are not americans!
If you're not a fishaddict there's not much else to choose besides pasta's. Like bolognesa and putanesca. THEY ARE SWEET!!! And the sauce is very thin. Moreover, the prices are exorbitant: 27 US dollars for spaghetti bolognesa! In Italy there are no restaurants that serve sweet food.
The wines were good and at the right temperature.
In short: lots of pretentions and you get nothing!!!

Another chance

We heard of Anna Maria's in2012 and went with our group of 11. Everything was great! I'm an Italian who rarely eats Italian out, but it was perfect. I can't complain about the length of time because we knew that. However, last year, things were different. Actually, I loved my pasta graced with various seafood. But no one else enjoyed their meal. The portions were much smaller and just not the same. We remembered how great the fried calamari was, but were told that they had none. The homemade connolli that we loved last time were ordered again last year, but we were told there weren't any. The bill was a whole lot more than we remembered as well. But because I lived it so much in 2012, I will give it another try this year, some time between July 26 - Aug 8.

A Dining Experience to Remember

Let me first start off by staying I'm shocked to find negative reviews of Anna Maria's. Sometimes when your unhappy with yourself nothing will make you happy. I've been going to Aruba for years and have had dinner all over the Island. Anna Maria's for me was simply a great night with friends and family in an homey atmosphere over light fresh Italian food. They are a little pricey but the service, food and atmosphere make it worth it. Our Server Jean-Pierre went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and also volunteered alterations to meals to suit our liking. Christopher, the owner also came out and was just as pleasant and delightful as Jean-Pierre. If your looking for something different in a laid back cozy quiet setting this is your place
