Azzurro Ristorante Italiano

My family and I have been coming here for the past 8 years straight. Azzurro's has been a must on our list of favorite Restaurants on the island. This year however, we found it to be the most disappointing. The service was the worst we've ever had at any restaurant in Aruba. The location, course is one of the best and the food is always very good.
After this experience We've taken it off our list.👎

This was a great island find for sure! Was highly recommended by friends and didn’t disappoint. We ordered the cheese wheel and was so delicious! The atmosphere, service and friendliness of staff were awesome. And no wait to get seated, no reservations required at 8:00 pm on the 4th of July of all days while Giannis told us they were booked for the rest of the day at 6:00 pm. I would definitely return! Located at Playa de Linda.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and dine here. One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Not just on aruba. We got the flaming whiskey wheel of pasta. I can’t say enough / so good!!! We have been to island a dozen times and our first time here. Next time I’ll come back every night ! It rivals Madame Jeanette’s. Different food but same quality. Beautiful view. Attentive service. The red sauce is the best! I can’t say enough. Just go!!!!!!

Several restaurants were recommended to us before our arrival in Aruba. However, when we passed by Azzurro it looked so pretty with such a nice view that we decided to try it over the ones recommended. We discovered a gem! The atmosphere, view, service, and food were all outstanding! I wish I had discovered this restaurant on my first two visits to Aruba. We decided to go back on our last night there. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I look forward to this dish every year, we come 2-3 times!,,,,, We were so disappointed in our very favorite dish, we brought people just to experience this dish!! Usually a man serves it, aWomna did this time she did not heat the cheese long enoug, the taste was faint, it took so long for her to twirl 4 plates of the spaghetti it was Luke warm when it was served. Half way through, it was cold. ! !!! Is she the regular person now or did she fill in for someone who wasn’t there! Please don’t let her continue to prepare this dish, it was such a disappointment!!!!!!!!!!well try it again, but I’ll ask if a gentleman will be serving the dish next time, or we won’t come back,,,,

On my first visit to Azzuro I only had a taste of the fettuccine prepared inside the wheel of Parmesan cheese , we had to go back and have it. It was that good. We started with the Burrata appetizer and no one in NJ has matched the one we had at Azzuro. This is our first stop in Aruba when we get there in January. So Delicious. On my first visit to Azzuro, I wanted to have the Grouper but was skeptical since some restaurants are serving Tilapia and calling it Grouper. The waiter brought the fish out to me so I could inspect it. I didn't ask but he must have sensed my apprehension. It was delicious. Decent wine list, we tend to drink the Argentinian Malbec's in Aruba. The view from the restaurant is super. It is so nice to dine al-fresco on the beach in Aruba. Congratulations to the Azzuro team for their wonderful restaurant.

Great food great service great view highly recommend, 4 of us had 4 different meals we all loved them.

We were excited to dine at Azurro as we (all 3 couples) were staying at Playa Linda and it was a beautiful venue and so convenient. Our reservations were for 7 pm. We ordered pretty quickly and our food did not even come until after 8:30 pm. By that time most all other tables were empty. You can see into the kitchen and we were salivating as we watched a chef eating while we were waiting for over 90 minutes for our food. General consensus is it was not that great. Personally, I had the linguini with white clam sauce. Out of the 6 six clams in shell included in the dish, one was not even cooked enough to have opened. The chef never noticed that? Why would it take 90 minutes to make that dish and it was not even fully cooked? We missed a 9 pm appointment to meet other friends that evening and were all very disappointed. It's a gorgeous place but unfortunately, we will never go back.

I have been coming to Aruba for 15 years and have never tried this restaurant , but have passed by countless times. On our last nite of our vacation we decided to try Azzurro after we heard very good comments from someone at our hotel. We are so glad we listened. Azzurro has fantastic authentic Italian food that is made the old fashioned way. The menu is varied, but the pasta dishes are fabulous. The spaghetti with shrimp in garlic and oil was superb! We also had the linguine with clams in garlic and oil and the mussels appetizer. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Desserts were also a must, the profiteroles were great and the cannoli was one of the best we have ever had. The ambience is great as the restaurant is perched over the beach set back behind the Playa Linda. What a way to finish off our trip this year. Can't wait to return next year!
