My husband and I and 2 friends went to eat there on Wednesday, March 7, 2007. The food was very very good. The vegetables were very fresah and the portions were good as were the prices. The service however, is another story. The waitress we had was sullen and rude and asking for something was scary. The men waiters were must more friendly and accomodating. It was the only place on the island where the staff is rude.

This was the worst place we ate onthe island. The service was awful! The waitress was insulting and rude. I ate many wonderful places but this was not one of them.

This was our fourth year in Aruba and every year, we eat at least one lunch at the Paddock. How we experience this, as a mixed American-Dutch family, greatly depends on the wait staff. Last year we literally got our menu's thrown at us, when I requested the Dutch version instead of the English ones we got (mind you, on the Dutch version you can order "kroket", a fun Dutch dish, on the English menu it's lacking).
This year we had nice service and the food was nice as well. I like the fact that there is such a really Dutch place on the island, but I do agree their service can be lacking and the speed of it too.

Terrible service. We were there late on a Sunday night--it was not crowded and it took forever to get our meals. Our waitress did not speak English (she appeared Dutch) and obviously did not understand what we were asking for. No one asked about drink refills (which were needed, because the glasses were just barely larger than shot glasses), no one brought bread until we asked for it twice, and the salads did not come until the meals were brought. Aside from the Garlic Shrimp, the food was bland. I would not recommend the place at all.

Food was good. We stopped there for lunch. Seating is always available (not sure about the all you can eat ribs night). Sits on the marina right in town. Service was by far the slowest on the island.

We decided to try the Paddock since it was close and they had all you could eat ribs for $10.00. We had seen mixed reviews, so the expectations were low. The food ended up being very good, but we had a poor waitress. Watching some of the other tables, you could see your service was definitely dependent on your waiter or waitress. No service charge.

We went for the all you can eat rib special. The ribs were pretty good and the table by the marina was a great place to watch the sun set.

Unlike the last review, we had pretty good service. We visited twice and both times had good food as well as good service.

We originally picked the restaurant because you can sit and see out into the marina area and the cruise ships if in dock. And there is a good breeze that passes thru the place which is good if you are there for lunch as we were.

We had a "fish burger" a grouper sandwich and also a steak sandwich. We also had the paddock omelet which was well prepared.

The food is well prepared and a good value. Some of the items such as the french fries are standard fare, but over all tasty.

I would recommend as a good lunch or breakfast stop.

We skipped this spot last year, and now I remember why. Although the food is very tasty and reasonable the service is simply appalling. We know that we’re on vacation and not in a hurry, but there is reasonably slow, and then there is painfully slow – especially when you’re thirsty and have nothing to drink or are missing something from your meal and there is no server around. I had the pork sate with fries and Chris had the burger with fries. Both were pretty good, but not worth the wait.
