Wanted to see the show and like it.

Right of the bat we couldn’t sit in bar Area, manager was not nice and very rude. Wasn’t that crowded. Had to get a table. Drinks were ok. Salsa was a joke. Food was not good. Mexican is not that hard. Tacos were not very good. None of us liked our food. Service to get another drink was horrible. Parts of the dinner were plain bad. Great location but horrible food and service. Not sure who writes some of the good reviews. We really wanted to like this place but will never return. We were staying right across the street, never again.

Relaxing

Been here about four times and love the place. The food is good and reasonably priced. The wait staff is friendly and professional. If you get a table overlooking the mall you can see the water show while you dine. Can't wait to eat here again in November.

Bad Service and Drinks

We went to this dump last night. The drinks had no liquor at all. We complained to manager Luis and he said that is how they make it. Terrible attitude. If you want mexican food go to Mexicana instead.

Not what it used to be

Having been here each year for the last 5 or 6 years it seems to have gone downhill over the last 3 years. While no restaurant seems as good as it was the first visit this place seems to be losing its shine too fast.

This year the service was okay, the food was okay, one portion of mine was cold underneath, warm on top, wife's was good. Drinks were okay. Will try one more year to see if they bounce back.

Overpriced, edible....but really?

Oct 16, 2012 - posted by
We are midwesterners visiting Aruba for the first time. We had a party of eight. The food was very average and definitely overpriced for what it was. I would liken it to Chi Chi's. The server was grumpy aka looked like she would rather be anywhere else. One guy in our group is a tequila buff and said the tequila was very overpriced. The margaritas were also average and watery and overpriced. The fish tacos were ok as was the tortilla soup. It was all edible but if you are vacationing in Aruba is that really what you are going for? Probably best to steer clear and experience something else, especially for the money.

Overlooked the Plaza and fountain. Great tasting Quesadilla. Shrimp diablo was spicy and good. Margaritas were good.

Don't Waste your Time or Money!

This was the worst dining experience that I had in Aruba!
We had a party of 7. After eating dinner at Inguana Cantina two of us were sick all night and into the next day. One of the seven did not eat his meal and suggested that the rest of us not eat our meals either. He took one bite thought that is was bad (spoiled) and wanted to send it back. His plate remained on the table and they did not take it back. Very poor unfriendly service. When the bill arrived we were charged for his meal. We complained to the manager after a very long discusion he rudely agreed to not charge for the one meal. This place can ruin your vacation! There are so many other great places to eat in the area. Don't take a risk with your health or waste your time and money at Inguana Cantina.

Awesome Salsa, Great Dinner & Amazing Dessert

Jun 6, 2012 - posted by
A favorite spot to dine each time we come to Aruba. First, the homemade salsas are wonderful. Extremely fresh and fabulous. My husband had the Churassco Steak... said it was very flavorful, I had the chicken Chilequiles... wonderful baked goodness. We brought some of the entree back with us to save room for the outstanding desserts. My husband had the Flan, said it might be the best he's ever had. I had the Trese Leches Cake... best ever for me. Service was so so but the food was worth it!

Good meal and good vantage point

May 11, 2012 - posted by
Went here our last night in aruba (friday night) and found a balcony seat for the shows at the mall. Was fun watching the shows and people watching afterwards. Had drinks, appetizer, meal and desert. All were good and waitress was very attentive even know all tables were full. Just a good time and food is well preportioned and not that expensive for aruba standards. As stated by another review this food is american/mexican and not authentic mexican which is ok by me.
