Smokey Joe's Island Grill
Smokey Joe’s offers alfresco dining in a colorful festive atmosphere. "We only serve fresh caught local fish…", says executive chef Jose Lago, "...so don’t expect to find salmon and trout on our menu!". We also feature open-fire rotisserie-grilled chicken, and for the meat lover, our thick-cut tender Argentine grass-fed filet mignon is sure to hit the spot. But our ultimate treat has to be the fingerlicking enjoyment of eating our grilled baby back ribs, truly the "Best Ribs in the CARIBBEAN!".

liked the place so much we went back for a second time. great ribs and reasonable prices. we have been to many restaurants on the island and would rate this near the top of casual restaurants. worth the trip and the prices.

Food and service was good. Nothing special. Lots of seating.

Split the ribs appetizer. Big portion and was good.

Wife had a salad and I had a hamburger. Both were good.

Reasonable prices.

To admit, I'm a rib lover from Texas. I tried the AYCE ribs and sampled all of the flavors. I thought they were okay. It really tasted like the meat had been re-heated and not very fresh. The service was horrible. It really wasn't that busy either. When back on the island, I will pass on this place.

This a great restaurant for ribs. When you want a break from seafood, etc this restaurant is outstanding. Now I know why its packed every night. Our server really seemed to enjoy what he was doing and was entertaining as well as very precise with our orders. Great place for kids as well as adults. We will definitely be back.

We ate here our first night... very relaxed!!

The food was good, the portions were really big. The ribs were good and the drinks were cold. If you are looking for a romantic dinner, maybe this is not the place, but if you want a fun place that is kid friendly, where you can sit outside and enjoy the evening, and has good food for a good value give Smokey Joe's a try!!

We really enjoyed it!

A great place for a low key, casual dinner.

We chilled out with some great Sangria, then the table shared the Rib Combo and Ribs and Chicken. Everything was very flavorful and fresh, our favorite was the original recipe version.

We sat on the outside edge and enjoyed watching fellow tourists walking along as we all enjoyed yet another wonderful warm evening al fresco.

This was the first place we had dinner and so glad we went there! We both had ribs with the cole slaw. Was glad of the tip to not eat by the inside wall due to heat from the kitchen! We had a nice table and enjoyed our evening there. We will definitely come back here.

Ate here January 4,2011. Had the all you can eat ribs for $24.95. They start you with their sampler platter which consists of 4 half racks of 4 different types. One was spicy but others were excellent. Too much food. Next time will order 3 1/2racks for $21.95. which is plenty. Of course, the fried oreos for dessert are incredible. After nights of expensive dinners, smokey joes is a fun place to go.

We eat here at least for one dinner while in Aruba. SO loves ribs! He got the 1/2 rack of ribs along with cole slaw and said they were great! I had the grilled shrimp and rice and was very happy. Our only complaint was that we were seated near the inside wall and boy was it warm. There had been showers in the area so they were not seating anyone out from under the roof so it was very crowded as well. Another good meal!!!
