Flying Fishbone, the

If overpriced disappointment were an Olympic sport, this restaurant would take home gold. I came here for a luxurious dining experience and left wondering if I’d been secretly enrolled in a survival reality show.
Let’s start with the food—or whatever they’re calling it. The Tuna Tataki? Spoiled. Yes, you read that right. It smelled like it had been on vacation outside the fridge for a week. And the Terrine of foie gras? Oh, please. It was old butter with a faint whisper of foie gras flavor—like it had been stored in the same room as foie gras and hoped the essence would rub off. Spoiler alert: it didn’t.
The service wasn’t much better. Our server acted like we were inconveniencing them by, you know, existing. When we pointed out the questionable tuna, they shrugged like we’d just asked them to solve world hunger.
The only redeeming quality? The view. Truly stunning. But here’s the thing—if I wanted to pay a fortune to stare at scenery, I’d book a helicopter tour and skip the risk of food poisoning.



Do yourself a favor: admire the view from a safe distance and spend your money somewhere that doesn’t serve regret on a plate.

Great restaurant with tables in the water, big menu, lots of choice and excellent food.

We had Christmas Eve dinner here. It was truly amazing. Best meal by far. The service was great, the atmosphere was like no other.
Would highly recommend making this a must don on your vacation!!

IMPRESSIVE! The ambiance alone feels incredibly special and it's so amazing that even before you get your food, while you're sitting in the ocean as the sun is setting... you feel blessed. It's a wonderful place. The service is impeccable (thanks to our wonderful waiter Romel) and the food is just as divine. It was our most favorite restaurant during our week-long stay. Perfect last night in Aruba. Highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back and dine here again.

Hubby ordered the Lobster Avocado (YUM), along with the surf n' turf (added the risotto thanks to a recommendation from a native, YUM). Mouthwatering. I had the fish cakes and a caesar salad. Both were excellent (I didn't have a big appetite, but I left very FULL - it was beautiful). Heard the red snapper special was something I missed out on (not next time).

Had a 8pm reservation for flying fishbone and when for there we weee greeting very kindly and as we weee walking down to our table the lady asked if we would like to sit at one of the special tables in the water ( we assume all gone because of earlier reservations) but maybe since it was late dinner we got lucky. So that just made our honeymoon that much better. The wait staff was very polite and attentive. Our main waiter ( Romel ) was amazing. Taking great pics of me and my wife for us and little jokes here and there. The water was a very odd feeling at first but then You just forget your sitting in the ocean lol. Food was delicious! I highly recommend the lobster bisque and if available or on the menu i also highly recommend the unicorn fish (it was that nights fish of the day ). It about a 30 from the main side of the island. But worth the drive

Romel was amazing. The Flying Fishbone was an unbelievable experience. We heard so much about and it and it lives up to everything we heard. The food was top notch and the experience was even better (if that’s even possible!).

We loved coming to the Flying Fishbone and would definitely come back! Our server, Hylton, was wonderful and made sure we had a great time. We were seated right by the water, as requested, and had the most beautiful view of the sunset! Definitely come to the Flying Fishbone for wonderful food and one of the most unique dining experiences on the island.

Service was excellent and friendly . Reserved seating for in water when we arrived we were sat under canopy . Ambiance was lovely, mosquitos were tough, dinner was over priced and and average at best. Desert was delicious we had chocolate ravioli.

It rained but we were seated under the canopy. Still a delicious meal by the sunset on the ocean. Hylton was our server and helped us with our first time order. Very patient nice guy. Thanks!

I went in July and had a great time. The food was great and our server Julian was amazing.
