AN OLD FAVORITE

Old Cunucu House This is a different type of restaurant
a little of the beatin track, but worth the ride.
$6.00 cab ride low key nad a little slow, but the food was wonderful.
The seafood was quite good, my Arubian version of Bacala
was quite nice.
Drinks are good a bit pricey for this place, but this is a vacation so go with the flow.
You might even purchase a painting off the wall by a local artist.
All in all it's a good meal that may even suprize you

Jasmine you're the best!

We discovered this restaurant by accident and thought we should check it out! Best decision we made the whole time we were in Aruba. We ate there 3 times and each time great food and great service from Jasmine. I loved the grouper and the had to be 5 lb lobster I had. Husband loved the goat stew and the seafood medley. Highly recommend, and be sure to tell Jasmine "hi" for us.

My husband and I went to the restaurant on Saturday night April 5th.
We had a wonderful evening with delicious food and a great atmosphere.
Our waitress Jasmine helped to make our evening one to remember.
We will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family!

This was our first visit to Old Cunucu House and we were glad we went. The atmosphere is truly Aruban which makes it more fun.

The food was Aruban so it was nice to try things more to the local culture though the dish my wife had was a bit on the dry side. I found mine to be very good.

It was fun to try foods a bit different than much of the island. I would recommend going here just to try some different foods.

We will go back with friends in the future to have a more authentic experience.

Quaint place

We've been going to Aruba for 30 yrs and have never tried this place. Not your typical tourist dining place which is what we were looking for. Charming place, felt like you were dining in someone's home. Food was excellent. Our group tried the fan fried snapper, goat stew, keeshi yena and the aruban seafood special. We were all thrilled with our selections and enjoyed every bit of it. Ordered a few drinks which were very weak to say the least. Our waiter was the bar tender too. He was very friendly and offered great suggestions when it came to meal selections. Ate outside and the ambience was great. Was quite comfortable and breezy considering it was more inland. Walked around inside and saw the artwork on the walls. Staff was very friendly and made this Aruban experience worthwhile. Serving sizes were ample and the prices were great. Will definitely go back!

The best dinner we had in the 10 day's on Aruba.
The catch of the day was outstanding. My wife ordered there famous dish: Keesi Yena. She loved it so much, and even more after the friendly waiter handed her the recipe. Great service!!
Beautyful old farmhouse with a romantic ambience.
You just have to go there when you on Aruba.
We definitely will go back next year.

This was our fourth annual visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will probably be the last. Unfortunately for us, the restaurant got busy in a short time, and honestly they are not designed to get busy. The rest of this review is giving them the benefit for this issue

Since the restaurant is off the beaten path, we had found it traditionally a good value with decent portion sizes and unique taste. We found thess three qualities now gone, even after we pointed it out to the Staff, who explained that they had no control of the Kitchen. Small portions all around, even the $5.50 salad was sparce, and the unique taste of the food became somewhat bland.

With so many choices to eat, with regret, this place comes off the list.

Loved the local, unpretentious feel of the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We had the Keeshi yena and the ribs, which were both delicious.

Definitely a place to go! We've been coming to Aruba for over 20 years and have been to Old Cunucu before. This year it was our best (and least expensive!) meal so far, and we've been here a week. It's especially good for local cuisine. The Keshi Yena is great!

Be sure to get directions. It's hard to find. Signs are there but hard to see.
