This was our best dining experience. Everything about Old Man is just perfect, even the entrance is GORGEOUS!! The entire setting is very romantic and tables are far apart so you feel like you are dining alone.

The staff was very friendly and super attentive. The food is delicious!! My husband had the Macadamia encrusted catch and it was out of this world!! My lamb was cooked perfectly and the appetizers knocked us out! We had the shrimp caprese and the tostones with chicken. For dessert we shared the bananas foster and although it was delicious we found it to be expensive for its small size.

Old Man is now on our "every trip to Aruba" list!!!! We will not miss this one.

This new restaurant is the nicest place on the island. The food is impeccable and the service was fantastic. The beach dining is extremely romantic and nicer than the other beach dining places we've eaten at. We'll be back every time we visit Aruba!!

Once this Restaurant works out the kinks it will be regarded as the best beach dining on the island. atmoshere much better then Flying Fishbone. It appears they will limit seatings. Overall great experiance although our server was a disappointment.

Very nice atmosphere - tables in the sand near the water with romantic lighting. All of the plates and menu covers are different and beautifully hand painted. Tables are far enough apart from each other to make it more romantic/private.

Food was very good - I had the catch of the day (red snapper) in a papaya sauce, husband had the lamb, and we split a spicy Caesar salad - all very good!

We will definitely be back!

What a fabulous experience! The food was great, I had the seafood catch of the day. Prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious! My wife had the filet and couldn't stop raving about it. The wine cellar is amazing and perfect temperature, and the staff was amazing. We will definitely be back and look forward to our anniversary dinner there next year!

Let me start by saying that this is one of the prettiest and most romantic restaurants on the island. From the moment we pulled up to it, the look of the restaurant is spectacular. However, I was very disappointed by the food. We dined with two other couples and all six of us were underwhelmed. Not that the food was horrible, it wasn't. It was just OK. We enjoy restaurants in Aruba where we can get really fresh grilled seafood. The seafood we had here was heavily breaded and the fish got lost in the breading. Salads and appetizers were good, again, not great. And a couple of us shared the cheesecake for dessert and that was not very good at all. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, but service was very slow. We waited almost an hour between salads and main course. Go to this restaurant for the beauty of the surroundings and the romance, not the food.

This new restaurant is beautiful. The ambiance is casual and elegant at the same time. From entering the restaurant, to being seated on the beach with a gentle breeze and a full moon rising high into the night sky made for a romantic dinner on the water. The staff were all friendly and professional. A special thank you to Trudy, Rachel and Albert for making it such a lovely night. The night we went it was not crowded at all, and diners continued to arrive after we were finished at 9:30. The food was delicious from appetizers to dessert and we enjoyed our apple martinis and bottle of wine very much. The owner stopped by our table later in the evening to introduce himself. He's done an excellent job and is excited about his restaurant. He can be proud of what he's accomplished. High season will probably find The Old Man and the Sea packed. There wasn't live music the night we were there...all the more reason to return again sometime next year.

The Old Man & The Sea is a GEM! The food will give you mouthgasms. Our waitress Trudy was really sweet. The food was exceptional and setting was amazing. They have an impressive wine selection and the prices are really good. All in all an A+ for The Old Man & The Sea. Try to get a table near the water.

My wife and I have been going to Aruba for years and this is by far the best, and I mean absolute best restaurant we've had the pleasure of dining at in all of our visits to the island. We went on Monday September 1st for a romantic sunset dinner. The food was amazing-I had the catch of the day (Grouper) and my wife had Filet Mignon. The service staff was outstanding, very friendly and attentive. My wife stated several times that she felt she was dreaming the ambiance is THAT good!!
