My husband and I renewed our wedding vows for our 50th wedding anniversary. My husband, myself, children and granddaughter were there. The Old Man and the Sea did such a wonderful job. The food and service was excellent. Ihey made our special day perfect. We were on the private island which only added to the celebration. Also must thank Rev. Gibson who performed the ceramony. He made it very special!

Everything was in one word perfect.
You walk into a farytale when you come trough the door and it stops when you leave this amazing place.
The food was delicious, the service really friendly and professional.
We had nothing to complain and enjoyed ourselfs to the max!

We ate there last friday night. It was our last night in Aruba and we were looking forward to a special place. It turned into a frustrating evening. The setting is beautiful. Probably the nicest spot we have been to on the island. The food was fantastic. Two of us had filet mignons that may have been the best meat we had during the week. The service, however, was not good. We sat for 1 hour and 15 minutes before we got our appetizers. The servers did not come around more that twice during that time. Although the food was great and the place is beautiful I really could not recommend this restaurant to others.

We decided to try this restaurant as we’ve been to Flying Fishbone the past two years and must say the Old Man and the Sea is much better than Fishbone. My husband doesn’t eat seafood so at both restaurants he’s limited. He loved the pear and walnut salad appetizer and the chicken over penne entree. You can’t go wrong with the fried Oreo dessert. You’re paying about a 20% premium for waterfront dining with excellent ambiance when compared to the finer inland restaurants.

Spent 2 lovely evenings there with Daryl as our server. Considering it was his first few nights as a "primary" server, he was great. Very friendly and accomadating to all this tables needs, plus a good photographer.
We were curious about the food after reading mixed reviews since last year, and both times it was very good, if not better. (We even decided to come back again with friends and rent the palapa.) We both had the escargot with angel hair pasta that we enjoyed so much, and shared the Concert for 2. All the meats were tender and cooked perfectly. The 2nd night, had the same appetizers, and we tried the special-red snapper thermidor and fish w/papaya sauce. It had a nice flavor with a little kick. It was wonderful way to end the day.

Probably one of the most romantci restaurant ever and I have traveled all over the world. Imgine sitting on a well-set table ...only that its on the beach , with sand under your feet, the waves hitting the end of the sand line. You can take a walk upto the water , wet your feet with the waves.. and return ...continue with your meal.Take your drink and walk on the sand. its secluded and the the sunset is amazing. The drinks are mixed just right, the food is excellent, seafood was fresh and well prepared, music soothing, service unrushed. You would want to come back again and again once you try this place out. Good for weddings and parties as well.

I just left this resturant about an hour ago with some of the best ladies in the world and the location and the service added to the night. We were given superb service and care. Smiles all around from the staff.

The food was presented very well. There was very little lag time in service. Glasses were always full...

I thought that Aruba would be a one time visit, but this resturant confirmed that I need to bring more people to this island to enjoy what I experienced this week and to see the view that I enjoyed while eating one of the best Salmon dishes I have ever enjoyed.

Our server Daryl J. (aka DJ) was awesome! Hope to see you again soon.

Danki and Cheers!!!

Great place, a notch above it's more famous neighbor, Flying Fishbones. Sunset not as great as the neighbors but the atmosphere is classy and more relaxed for a wonderful Island night out.
