WOW WOW ...By far the BEST restaurant in Aruba. The food is excellent (freshest fish) the service is excellent and the atmosphere is...WOW !!The best on the island. We had a super excellent service from Andres our waiter. Oh my God, the food is delicious, the private gazebo incredibly, all the art, the painted menus, painted plates...I mean this is be the most romantic restaurant in the Caribbean. Even the restroom is incredibly artistic. The owner should be very proud to own such a gem.....we wil be back every year!! Believe me I travelled all the Caribbean!

This is by far one of the most romantic spots I've ever visited and well work every penny. The food was excellent the service great and the view and environment was so relaxing and enjoyable I didn't want to leave. Fact being we were nearly the last out of the restaurant. Had our own vehicle so it made it easy but taxi's were available also. A must for anyone with any expectations of a romantic evening. Loved it!!!

This was our second visit to The Old Man and The Sea. They are consistant with their food and service. The lobster was exquisite. Chef Franky and Chef Roderick did a fantastic job with the taste and the presentation.
Even the toilets are very nice at this restaurant. Truly and upscale outdoors restaurant not to be missed. Well worth the trip and money.

My first impression of the restaurant was that it was simply beautiful. The white linens, the candle lanters, and the light colored wood furniture were gorgeous accents to the already dreamy atmosphere of enjoying a meal on the beach. The service was outstanding. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were to our liking and prepared as described. Even the menus and plates were adorable, handmade artwork. I would definatly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Aruba. It was my most memorable meal and setting.

We had a lovely evening at The Old Man and the Sea on 5/22/09. We had spent a week on the island and this restaurant was one of many great experiences. The food was superb! The atmosphere phenomenal...and the service great! The menu was the perfect blend of tropical influences and seafood! Does tropical fusion really exist..it does at the Old Man and the Sea! And the artwork and plates were a nice, romantic and special touch.

We look forward to returning to both the island and this restaurant.

I have been on island a number of months and have visited this restaurant several times. The food is very adaquate, but the atmosphere is worth the price. Great beach setting makes the food better.

We dined on June 5th and while the atmosphere was beautiful, we would never dine there again. The service was horrendous. It appeared that this was everyone's first day on the job.
It took over 1 hour to receive our appetizer and over another hour to be served dinner. All the dinners were cold - none came out hot. The Ceaser salad was sandy. I wouldn't expect the restaurant to last if the service doesn't improve tremendously.

At first very romantic, then night came to windy they could not light torches and one of the big lanterns blew over, down hill from there my wife and I order the steaks----- worst steaks i ever had in my life. Manager came around apologizing let see the table behind me they did not tell the person that the left the skin on the bottom of the fish the table beside us bones in the fish etc. Boat came by and small waves came up under our table and waiter and bus boy started laughing, thank God my wife grabbed my shoes. All this and a 200.00 dollar bill. Learned a lesson to many great restaurants in Aruba could have went to two or three of them at that price.
