Aqua Grill
Aruba is widely recognized as the culinary capital of the Caribbean, and among the island's many fine restaurants, Aqua Grill is a standout. As the Premier Seafood Restaurant on the island, Aqua Grill boasts a menu of fresh seafood flown in daily from around the world, as well as a selection of non-seafood dishes.

Somewhat of a disappointment. The food was average and the service was very slow. The hostesses were all very rude. Our waitress was nice, but seemed to have to many tables. The walk to the restaurant is somewhat "sketchy" and the food is not worth the price. Will not return.

I just had dinner at Aqua grill and was about to leave my review when i read the previous review. Maybe the restaurant had a bad day but as a frequent diner at Aqua I have to say that First they have some of the best hostesses on the island. Secondly they rearly have groups of kids. Maybe they are inspired by a competitor or just are confused. The FOOD is exceptional. All I know is that I have been there twice this week and will be back.Try the Seabass

We visited Aqua Grill due to the positive comments on this website. BIG MISTAKE! Nothing about this place was acceptable, from the nasty puddles you had to walk thru to gain entrance to the uninspired food. You would think that they could get fried shrimp correct - no flavor, mushy and lukewarm. Grilled veggie entree didn't even have grill marks on the peppers.

The hostess was clueless as we were a couple without children and asked for a quiet table not near children. After they sat us in a quiet room, they mercilessly sat four other tables of screaming kids nearby.

After mentioning it around the hotel, many agreed that it wasn't their choice any longer. You are now forewarned - Spend your dollars elsewhere!

Aqua Grill was disappointing. The food tasted fine, but the portions were small and overpriced. Our server was rude. He only talked to us when absolutely necessary and even then was very aloof. (We were dressed nicely, I think he just had an attitude.) It was more like a place to get too little food than a nice dining experience. I felt rushed and ignored and cheated. It's a shame, because they have a lovely wooden floor. But that's about it.

We go here every year and were not disappointed. This is one of the resturants we splurge on because of the quality of what we want. Started with spinach and artichoke dip and an order of calamari. Then a bowl of the best clam chowder this side of a little place in Rhode Island. My wife has the same pasta dish (can't remember what it is) and I have the catch of the day. A bottle of wine and we are stuffed beyond words. Then we order a desert and laugh at how we are going to finish it. They have opened and outdoor seating area this past year and we gave that a try. Only down side to this was the occational idiot reving his car engine as this seating is fairly close to the street. Food was great, the seveice very good and the price (although high) about average for a good meal in Aruba. Can't wait for next year!!!

No one was talking about this restaurant when we got here and I don't know why. After being disappointed by the 'hyped' places on the island, we had our best meal here. The atmosphere is clean, romantic and the spotless kitchen is clearly visible through a large window in the dining room. The contemporary Caribbean menu is loaded with seafood options and paired with a generous wine list. Eat here and your faith in the Aruban Culinary scene may be restored.
