Located at the beach near the airport at the roundabout. Owner Gerco (chef) and Luc (Maitre d') have created a unique dining experience where you can enjoy the best Aruba has to offer: a great view of the ocean and sunset, experienced and friendly staff and high quality food.

Sat 09/10 – Barefoot
We ate on the beach at Barefoot, which is where the old Marandi used to be. They are doing a lot of construction in the area and you have to drive through a bumpy dirt road to get there. You take a right turn just as you enter the circle in Orangestaad. Atmosphere was lovely, service was excellent as was the food. DW had a Margerita & I had a vodka martini straight up. DW had the Caribbean Grouper and I had the Tournados with Truffles. Very generous wine pour. A very enjoyable dinner. If you don’t like sitting on the beach – they have seating under that large open structure that was the old Marandi. This place is a good alternative to Passions for dining on the beach as the service and food quality is far superior.

Among the nights we dined in Aruba, Barefoot was surely a highpoint and one of the best dinners we enjoyed. There were four of us and each enjoyed our choices. The service was perfect and the setting one of the best in Aruba. We will certainly return again.

Last weekend we had dinner at Barefoot. It is about a year ago they opened this new restaurant. But I can tell you, they match or surpass all the established fine dining restaurants.
We live on the island and visit Barefoot at least 6-7 times a year. When it comes to quality, this one should be in your top-3
The food was good. Service outstanding (10+). I am not sure if it is on the menu, but they also serve kids portions of some dishes. (Why feed them just fries&burgers?)

We ate here a few days ago. It was excellent: fantastic food, great service and the most beautifull environment. What we had was delicious and the setting was very romantic: on the beach and with plenty of space between the tables. If you want a quality dinner on the beach, this is the place to go. We will surely be back.

Our family loved it. The food is excellent; beyond perfection. Never ever had a USDA approval tenderloin as perfect as at Barefoot's! Also the ambiance is close to perfection. If you wish with your flip flop on the beach or fully dressed/ high heeled under the palapa.
Aruba is great, but is paradise with Barefoot!

After many years of sampling Aruba's fine restaurants, this is our new favorite. Dining on the beach is always a pleasure, but the food and service were beyond accolades. These people know how to cook grouper, and do so exquisitely. Appetizers were innovative as well. And the white chocolate mousse was something so heavenly that we wanted to lick the cup in which it was served. Our friendly waitstaff would have been tolerant of such gauche behavior. This restaurant has been open about a year, and will quickly become a rave and a fave. It's a little tricky to find because of the construction of the promenade from downtown towards the airport. Worth every twist, turn and bump!

My husband & I enjoyed our sunset dinner at Barefoot. I got the caribbean grouper and it was so tasty. My husband had the blue cheese shrimp casserole and said that it was not what he was expecting but was very good. I had the peach cheesecake which was excellent but they forgot to bring my husband's desert. The reason for the 9 for service. No one came around while I was eating desert so that he could say something. It wasn't on the bill and as we were leaving he said something to someone and they offered to get it for him then but he wasn't interested at that point. Would definitely go back.
