Barefoot Restaurant
"Elegant dining in flipflops"

Located at the beach near the airport at the roundabout. Owner Gerco (chef) and Luc (Maitre d') have created a unique dining experience where you can enjoy the best Aruba has to offer: a great view of the ocean and sunset, experienced and friendly staff and high quality food.
Ideal for special occasions or just a wonderful night out!

nice setting and wonderful atmosphere in a very hard to find location. service was good with the server having no personality at all. she reminded me of a german matron, very sterile.food was presented OK but was tasteless. everything tasted the same. no flavoring or seasoning. wine pour very very skimpy. 1/4 of a glass. when we mentioned something, they said it was a big glass, it was not. it was a standard wine glass that was cheaply poured. shame, we won't go back and have and will tell everyone about the experience. prices high for the quality and quantity.

We recently visited Barefoot for the first time and liked it so much we deceided to make a second reservation during our two week stay. We've vacationed in Aruba a number of times and always enjoy the top listed favorite restaurants. We are going to add Barefoot to our personel list of favorites.Do not be put off by the driveway into Barefoot as some construction is going on in that area. The beach front view is great!

We came to Barefoot based on previous reviews. We are glad we did, it was just as previously stated. I had the grouper and loved it with the sauce and veggies. My husband had Shrimp with Basil-Garlic oil and he loved it! We will definitely come here again. As stated before, it is a little hard to find the location but just look at the white smaller building and one will say Nikky's and that is next to Barefoot. You will have to park in a area that is being renovated but the restaurant is on the beach side and very nice.

We ate there on 2/2/2011.
We arrived before sunset and sat on the deck at the railing. Perfect view to watch the boats leave for the night and also watch a beautiful sunset. I suggest you bring your sunglasses if you are there for the sunset.
I had the Caribbean Grouper which was excellent and my husband had the Shellfish Trio which was also great.
We have been coming to this Island for 11 years and wanted to try some new restaurants this year. The place does not look so inviting from the steet but IS WELL WORTH THE STOP!

Four of us dined at Barefoot near the end of our stay on Aruba and wish we had found it in time to go more than once. The food, wine, ambience and attentive staff made our evening truly special. The appetizers, entrees and deserts are fresh, creative and delicious. The only downside is the difficulty finding the retaurant even with good directions. A roadside sign is badly needed but we understand it is in production. No matter..everything about Barefoot is worth the drive from anywhere on island.

We had our first dinner at Barefoot on our last night in Aruba and we are only sorry that we did not discover this restaurant sooner. We had the Two Tuna and Vanilla Skewered Scallops appetizers, the Caribbean Grouper and Duet Of Lamb main courses and the Chocolate Mousse and the special dessert of the day. Not even the rain that night could ruin a perfect dinner experience

What a treat to first dine at Barefoot on New Year's Eve...a lovely sunset, a glass of wine, friendly and accommodating staff, beautifully presented dishes... A new favorite of mine when visiting Aruba! We went back a second time on the same visit...Thanks Luc!

My family and I came here for a special dinner on our last night in Aruba. We met Luc who was delightful, as was the rest of the service personnel. Due to a snowstorm, our flight was cancelled so we spent two more glorious nights in Aruba. And of course, we went back to Barefoot where we had a spectacular dinner. We had champagne to celebrate and our three daughters enjoyed Sprite soda in a champagne glass too! Already referred a guy I work with and he had a fabulous meal! By far the best restaurant in Aruba!!

In the past we always made it to Marandi at least twice on each of our visits.
Now that Barefoot has opened...this is our new replacement.
The environment is even more upscale (yet friendly and casual) plus you have the option to dine on the beach.
Food is creative and presented perfectly.
As a first course the tuna carpacio with tuna tartare on top of it was exquisite.
The main course Grouper was as fresh as possible with an amazing, subtle mango sauce.
Congratulations to Luc on a great new restaurant.
