My husband & I went last night. Enjoyed a great sunset. He had lamb, which came with a very generous portion & cooked to perfection. I had the grouper with the mango cream cheese topping. It was spectacular. This restaurant isn't easy to find because of all the park construction, but it is well worth going. Don't miss it.

Barefoot has been one of our favorite restaurants for the last year. We took friends to dinner the first week of January and as always the setting was beautiful, the food was delicious but the table right next to us decided to pull out a big cigar and light it up. The maitre d came by to ask how everything was and by now the cigar smoke had engulfed our delicious meal. We told him it was unacceptable to allow cigar smoking in such a nice restaurant. He kindly went to the table and moved them to a more remote location, away from most of the guest dining on the beach. On a previous visit we sat on the beach and the locals next door filled our meal with cigarette smoke which was also unacceptable.

This particular night the palapa dining area was filed with cigarette smoke. We walked thru to use the restroom and to enter and exit but could have never sat under the palapa. Barefoot is an amazing restaurant and like so many other great restaurants in Aruba should consider a non smoking policy. Most of us prefer not to have our delicious meal and beautiful beach atmosphere polluted with cigarette or cigar smoking. Please adapt a non smoking policy.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary by dining at Barefoot at the recommendation of 2 hotel concierge and were not disappointed.
The waitress brought us a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversay and was very helpful.
My wife had the pork medallions in a chimichurra sauce and I had the mixed grill of pork, chicken and tenderloin. Both meals were cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were delicious, but we could have used a little more.
The desserts were great as well, we shared the fresh brownie sundae and the chocolate mousse.
It was a beautiful setting and a great experience. We plan on coming back next year.

We ate @ Barefoot twice during our recent stay after the stellar meal and service we had at our first visit. Our 1st meal consisted of one of the chef's specials and a fish medley both were excellent as was our service even though the restaurant was hosting 50+ person Xmas party for a local business. Our 2nd visit just didn't match up hence the 5 rating. I opted for the lamb entree which was listed as a small rack and sliced leg of lamb for $38. The portion of sliced lamb was miniscule (3 paper thin overcooked slices) the rack 3 ribs, which as everyone knows does not contain a lot of meat. The entree is WAY overpriced and mediocre at best. My wife's grouper with fresh fruit salsa was good but in contrast to our first visit not in the same league. Service was not nearly as attentive as our previous visit and there was no massive party to compete with regular customers. A beautiful restaurant with tremendous potential, but very inconsistent.

We went to Barefoot in December, 2010. It was one of the worst meals we have ever had in Aruba. The fish was bland and tasteless. We were with 3 other couples and they all liked their meals. When making my dinner reservations for this year I have left it off our list.

Barefoot is my favorite restaurant on the island by far!
The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is sure to exceed your expectations! When they say "fine dining in flip flops" they're not kidding!!! There's nothing like eating an amazing fresh fish dinner with your feet in the sand while sitting at a table under the stars (someone pinch me)!
This was our second year going there and we cannot wait to go back. Last year, our entire family (18 people) went there for dinner and they were able to accommdate us with a great table and amazing service. The staff is so friendly and the owner Luc will bendover backwards to insure his patrons are happy.

Go to Barefoot your first night on the Island as I am certain you will want to return prior to leaving!

The restaurant business is a challenge by its very nature, but the owners of this one never back down and never give up. The city took their water away unanounced the night of our most recent visit, working late into the evening to repair a water main, but the food, service and ambiance was still second to none. We are back for our second time to this delightful location set in full view of landing aircraft and gorgeous sunsets. The entres were beautiful as well as delicious. The staff is attentive, but not overbearing. Our server, Kim, was a terrific server. As in our first dinner, Luc, the maitre d and part owner checked in on us. Even with a full restaurant he took the time to discuss our experience. We are looking forward to our next time on Aruba. You have a limited number of days when you visit here. Don't miss Barefoot on your next trip.

Stop looking for a restaurant and go to Barefoot. We went here for my girlfriend's birthday and they went way above and beyond to make it an incredible experience. Do not take our 10 ratings for Barefoot lightly; the food, presentation and environment were amazing. Whether you are in the sand or the terrace, the beach views are amazing and the restaurant is opulently adorned with modern furniture and warm lighting. They mean what they say - it truly is elegant dining while barefoot – refined and sophisticated while casual, unpretentious, and above all delicious. Luc, the Maitre d’, made us feel like friends rather than just guests - I wish every restaurant had someone like him. If I could give Barefoot an 11/10 for service, I would try and give it a 12. Barefoot was our best dining experience in Aruba, hands down, and one of the best I can remember anywhere.

Dinner at Barefoot was definately a highlight of our trip to Aruba. The location could not be more beautiful and offers the beauty of dining on the beach while still enjoying a fantastic meal. The food was incredible and the service was second to none. Thanks Luc for a great evening. I would definately recommend this restaurant to all who visit Aruba!
