We were very excited to try this restaurant on our trip to Aruba last week from all the good reviews we read. We came in on a Sunday night, 6 in total with two kids. Overall the food is very good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. When we were there, the restaurant was half full, but the waiter enthusiastically told us that this was their busiest night ever. I guess thats great for a new place! But the kitchen has to be prepared to deal with that many (and in my opinion, no many at all) customers then. It took forever to place an order (the waiter - only 1!) was running around like a mad man, and it took forever to get our food. We waited an hour before our main courses came out. The food was good, as I said before, but the wait turned us completely off. We might give it one more try next time, but if that doesn't improve, there are so many other restaurants in Aruba with much better service.

We went here several times during our recent vacation in November....and will return again! The food and service is some of the best received on the island. Peter and his team take all measures that the food is of highest quality, and the service is outstanding. The JeagerSchnitzel was prepared perfectly, and the potato pancakes are outstanding!! He has a great selection of German Beers - and also Balshi, wines and a full bar for cocktails available. The location is very much within walking distance from the highrises - and is definitely a MUST TRY.

I have been a fan of Sewasdee Thai Restaurant, owned by the same man. Peter, the owner, is from Germany, and he has out-done himself in the presentation of his native cuisine. We had his Beef Rouladen (name is different on the menu, but that is what it is). We also had some cream of potato soup and cheese soup. Both were superlative, authentically German. The Rouladen was also excellent. Potato dumplings and red cabbage were also very well prepared, delicious, and authentic. My wife and I WILL RETURN to this delightful authentic German restaurant. If you like German food, this restaurant is a "must do" when in Aruba!

We found the food at Bavaria to be authentic German---and excellent! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the menu was very reasonably priced. We had plenty left to take with us and it was delicious for lunch the following day. The potato pancakes are a must!!

Having lived in Germany for 18 months in the 70's this place brought back some good memories. Talked to the owner about some of the beers and places in Germany. Food was great and the Chief came to our table before we left. will be back next year.

My husband (beer lover - german food lover) picked this place out after reading about it online. I was a bit sketical, but after trying our first course - the potato pancackes - I was converted. The pancakes were perfect and they were served with homemade applesauce - very impressive. I followed with the cheese soup - also amazing. My husband had the Rinderoulade, which was very good. We all agreed however that the weiner schnitzel with the complimentary mushroom sauce was perfect. The side of spaetzle just took it over the top.
Overall, this was just a really nice dinner for relatively little money on this island. The staff couldn't have been nicer to our five year old son. The owner, Peter came over and spoke with us several times to make sure our experience was maximized. I highly recommend Bavaria.

At first we read the menu and were unsure if we should try dinner or find somewhere else to eat. The reason we went to the Bavaria was a couple at the Marriott said it was outrageous so we said "why not" glad we did, it was delicious. We wish them the best of luck and we will be back on our next visit to Aruba...will send all our friends.

We were hesitating of going into Bavaria as there were not too many people inside well it was 9pm Saturday but finally we decided to go inside instead of the fancy restaurants closer to the hotels.
We did NOT regret our choice the food was EXCELLENT fresh and tasty. The red cabbage is a must try. Got an Ice gold German wheat beer and for desert we got the Black forest cake which was also baked that day. Rarely found European food compared to all the same burgers and fries on the beach.
The day before we tried Smoky Joe's which was faster in service but the food was just reheated we paid there 27$per person.
Highly recommend to try. Excellent Service.

WOW, Food and service was beyond what we expected. I didn't think I would have to travel to Aruba to enjoy the best Germany Dinner I have ever had! The Chief hit the nail on the head serving quality meat cuts, the pork in the Jeager schnitzel was perfect. We had a table of 8 and could not believe how inexpensive the night was. The staff was very knowledge and friendly. It was a great experience we visited for dinner twice during our vacation!
Best of luck to the staff, we cant wait to see you again on our next trip!
