Chalet Suisse

Went July 20, 2023 for my anniversary went there for my honeymoon in 1991. Went back 2016 and 2017 with my daughters.
Love the atmosphere and crew was sad to hear Benny retired and is not doing well my heart is broke.

Just returned from Aruba and once again Chalet Suisse was great. We have been coming to the island for over 20 years now and this is still a must ago to on every trip. We actually went twice this past trip. through the years we have tried new places that were great at first but then couldn't maintain their status. Chalet Suisse seems to get better every time we....cant wait till we return in OCT to go back !!!

My wife and I were enjoying a very pleasant dinner, until we were finishing eating. I had finished and my plate was taken away. The wait staff then tried to take my wifes plate, even though she was obviously still trying to enjoy her food. once was bad enough but this happened twice. The staff actually picked up her plate. No apology offered. We expected better service.

my wife and i have been going here for over 30 years . we had our 25 year annavesy dinner here 25 years ago and plan to have our 50th here in 2 weeks benny and staff always takes good care of us . if its just the 2 of us or a big group the food was great in 1988 and is still great now we go to aruba 2 times ayear so i guess we have eatting here over 75 times as long as we go to aruba we will come here at least once every trip (i love the onion soup and always get a steak my wife loves the grouper and the strudle)

We have been vacationing in Aruba for over 26 consecutive years and so much has changed on.the island. One thing that has remained amazingly consistent over those years, with all the changes and all the good restaurants that opened over those years Chalet Suisse has been our absolutely favorite dining spot in Aruba. We’ve come to know the excellent staff that has remained steady throughout all those years and have almost become family. Treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience you’ll remember long after you’ve returned home and a place you’ll visit each and every time you return to the most wonderful island of Aruba!

The family and I went to 5 different restaurants on our trip to Aruba and this was the only place we went to twice. The service was efficient and the food was great. I had the filet the first night and my husband had the rib steak. Both were tender, tasty and cooked to temperature. The rib steak portion was impressive, as my husband (normally a big eater) couldn’t even finish it. Our daughter had a kids schnitzel and enjoyed it, which isn’t always easy to do with picky kids. On the second night, I had the lobster bisque and wished that I could have another bowl for my entree. My husband had the seafood Chalet Suisse and loved it. We the split the rack of lamb, and it was amongst the best I’ve ever had. The service was timely and friendly and the wines were priced on point! We split a bottle of Caymus both nights, because at that price, we couldn’t say no. We eagerly look forward to going back the next time we’re in Aruba.

Asked waiter "how is the steak" answer "have not had complaints". Wrong answer, but ordered anyway. Think it cost 40 something dollars. Sent it back. Could not chew it. Should have quit right there but ordered veal chop. Same result . Left Hungry Also might add. For the most part, wait staff missing in action most of the night. Never see me or my party again.

Disappointed 80th Birthday Celebration! Told when made reservation, hotel confirmed it day of reservation, told hostess and waiter when arrived. Nothing was ever said or done! Very disappointing for 80th

We were suggested this restaurant by other . The food was mediocre (actually had to send the steak back, as it was overcooked). The service was not very good. I told the person at the desk we were celebrating my brother\'s 80th birthday and she acknowledged it, but never said they don\'t care. I also told the waiter. Not one person wished him happy birthday nor offered any celebration dessert. Every other restaurant we ate at this week celebrated many peoples\' birthdays. Very dissappointed in this restauarnat and will tell others don\'t both going there...especially when there are so many other excellent restaurants in Aruba!

We were here this Past Easter vacation and as usual another great meal at Chalet Suisse. We have been coming to Aruba every year since 2001 and this place is still a must do every time. My sons now older look forward to going here from the minute we start talking about going back to Aruba.... Great Job again Benny !!!!
