Chalet Suisse

Fantastic meal at Chalet Suisse. This was our first visit and were very pleasantly surprised at the menu choices. The dutch pea soup was sublime. The wiener schnitzel was top notch. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

We usually eat here on our first and last night during our stay in Aruba, as this is our favorite restaurant in Aruba. Starting with the friendly greeting from Benny and continuing through our entire evening, the service and attention we receive from the staff is fantastic. We have tried most items on the menu have never been disappointed. I love onion soup, and Chalet Swiss has the best onthe island.

We have been going to Aruba for over 10 years now and we always eat at Chalet Suisse. Our kids love the food too.

We had dinner on Mar 9, our first time at Chalet(Our 3rd time to Aruba).
The meal and service were superb. The Filet Mignon was the best my wife ever had and my Rack of Lamb was excellent. Loved the Dutch Peas soup and the (large)Shrimp Cocktail.
Only suggestion would be to reduce the number of visits by service people who continually stopped by to ask if everything was to our liking.
Our server, Humphrey, was terrific!

This is our first time here in the five times to Aruba. From start to finish we were very impressed with the food as well as the service.
We had the Avacado De La Mar and Ceasar salad for apps and we both had the veal chops which were cooked perfectly. We topped off our meal with the tiramisu and chocolate mousse.
Sorry we waited so long to try it!

Love it. An annual stop. Good food, good service, grown-up restaurant.

CHALET SUISSE continues it tradition of fine food and superb service and is not a place to be missed. The food is excellent and the service is attentive to the point of being pampering. We have never had a bad meal here and expect that will continue to be the case well into the future. At one point in time CEHZ MATHILDE, LE DOME, and CHALET SUISSE were the "big three" in ARUBA - now only CHALET SUISSE survives and it well carries forth the tradition of all.

We've been visiting Chalet Suisse for years and it's been a favorite of ours. They make a superb Cosmo and Gin Martini. This year, we were slightly dissapointed in the food .. the Shrimp Scampi was not wonderful and the snitzel was not up to its usual rating of "10". In the past, the Beef Stroganoff has been good as has the Chilean Sea Bass. Service was good but we waited a bit too long for the bill. We're chalking this up as a "blip" and will visit them again next year before deciding to take it off the list of our "must visit" resturants.

I was opposed to going to this restaurant because I had no desire to be reminded of the alps when I only had one week on the island.

However, the food was really very good and the portions were pretty large. My Dad had the rack of lamb and there were probably 8-10 racks on his plate, not the usual 3-4. I had the traditional Zurich dish (veal stew) and it was really very good. The desserts were beautifully presented and were also delicious.

Cons: The service was rushed, it was very noisy inside and the decor has not been updated in a very long time.

My husband and I had not eaten here in several years. We decided to add this restaurant to our list in January and it did not dissappoint. The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the waiters were fully attentive. The Chalet is wonderful. We ate here two times during our recent trip.
