We have been coming to Chalet Suisse for many years and each year is the same as your food is always consistently great. We have tried many of your menu items and have always been satisfied. You have a great steak that is always done to our request. I never come without getting your Dutch Pea soup and wish that I could get the receipe so I can make at home. Keep up the good work.

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. We have been travelling to Aruba for the last 5 years, and we always eat at this restaurant. We are going again this month (January 2011)..
We love the food, and the garlic bread you get before the meal. We always order the beef stroganoff-fantastic! The service is always friendly and prompt, and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
The prices are fair. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Aruba.

Has a great meal here, just down the road from where we were staying. The food was very nice, the French onion soup was great, as was the lobster. All in all a very enjoyable experience, so I would definately recommend this to you!

The food was decent, not worth the price, but decent enough. The service was for the most part, prompt and friendly (all locally staffed) It was fairly warm in there though and the atmosphere reminded me of some of the diners I frequent in NJ. Homey, but not tacky. It was full midweek so I guess it is still a popular place after all these years.

Another TOP 10 restaurant on the dining list of our this year´s vacation on Aruba (actually the third year. Thus our expectations had been rather high - however, all in all this evening turned out as disappointment.
Even if the food deserved a fairly good rating, the loud atmosphere and the hounded, sometimes even unprofessional service did not match the basic requirements for a top class restaurant that you would like to keep in your memory.

I had the displeasure of eating at the Chalet Suisse in October of 2010. My mother ordered the veal and pulled out several foot long strands of something, we didn't know because they pulled the plate away from her. After convincing her to order something else, they proceeded to charge her the higher priced meal. Never did they offer to take the meal off the bill, nor did they offer her a free drink or dessert. She had to eat alone because by the time her meal came all 7 guests had finished. They proceeded to act as though she was difficult because she was disgusted by what appeared in her food. We use to eat here on our visit to Aruba every October. But needless to say that will probably be our last visit. Its one thing to be served something inedible but its another thing to not even compensate guests for their inconvenience. Rude Service and Inedible stands of something or another in our food.

DELICIOUS - if you want a really nice night out where you are going to spend some money - this is the place to spend it. I spent 6 years living and working in Switzerland so when I ordered the Zuricher Geshneltzes I had my doubts how authentic it would be. It was on par and even a little better than what I used to order in Switzerland all the time! It's a MUST order. My parents had the schnitzel and it was also amazing - the only thing is real schnitzel that you get in Vienna Austria is pounded much thinner and is a bigger piece but still it was really tasty and the best we've had outside Europe. My daughter had the kids portion schnitzel and she gobbled it up in minutes. The atmosphere is upmarket and you really feel you are in an Austrian lodge in the mountains or even on an upscale cruise ship. I was a bit dissapointed in the streudel even it was made authentically with raisins - it lacked the authentic taste I expected - but the homemade ice cream was amazing - absolutely worth ordering. All in all this is now my favorite restaurants on the island, I cannot wait to come back next year.

When you eat in a place three times in 12 days it says a lot about it, Chalet Suisse is such a place.
When you are greeted by Benny you feel like it's at your best friends home.
At the table Lucy comes to offer you a drink, take your wine order for Dinner.
Then after you place your order quick as a bunny Lucy appears with your drinks.
Humphry serve your appetizers with a flair.
But the best part about Chalet Suisse
is the food, the veal is fork tender,
the duck is to die for, and the rack of lamb is beyond words.
Well done to all of you.

Don't leave Aruba without enjoying a spectacular evening at Chalet Suisse. Its like enjoying a meal with friends in their lovely home! We enjoyed their hospitality for 3 nights during our 2 week stay. Humphrey was most gracious as are ALL of the people we have met in 4 years of visiting. Its like eating dinner in Europe while you enjoy the Aruba sunset! Don't miss it!
