Chalet Suisse

Recently returned from our annual wonderful 2 weeks on Aruba. Went to Chalet Suisse 3 times during our stay. Have been dining there since 1995 and have never been disappointed. From the time we walk in and are "welcomed home" by Benny and warmly greeted by Rudy, we feel truly at home there. We have been going to Aruba for 16 years and, without a doubt, Chalet Suisse is the BEST restaurant on the island! The food is so delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is beautiful and friendly. Some of our favorite dishes are: French Onion Soup, Filet Mignon, Duck, Lambchops, Veal Marsala, Apple Strudel, Chocolate Mousse, and Chocolate Marquise. Humphrey is the best server on the entire island, Reuben (Tattoo) is the best assistant ever! We love them both, and between the 2 of them, our meals there are always perfect! We love Aruba, and Chalet Suisse is one of the highlights of our vacation there! We already look forward to next October!

Always excellent-- we have been going here for the last 6 years-- Benny always has a smile, the staff,service, and food is wonderful.

On our trip to Aruba last week we enjoyed our meal very much. This was our first time at Chalet Suisse and were very impressed. The atmosphere was great and our waiter, Humphrey, was very pleasant and served our meal with flair. We look foward to our next visit.

It is a joy to see Humphrey when we do get "home". He provides us with the best service. We are never left wanting anything.

We just arrived home from our wonderful week in Aruba. A little wet but always fun. We had dined at the Chalet Suisse twice on this visit. As expected, we were not disappointed. The first night the service was excellent (thank you Humphrey) along with the food. We had the Carribean Seafood Platter and the Wiener Schnitzel with a side of Spaetzel and for dessert...Chocolate Fondue. All were outstanding! Our second visit, the service was excellent again with our thanks going to Pedro. We had to get the Seafood Platter again, it was that good, along with the Almond Encrusted Red Snapper, and for dessert...Chocolate Fondue...Outstanding!

Had a wonderful dinner last night, which was opening night for CS after their usual vacation. Food & service
was excellent as usual. DW had the lobster tail, DD had the shrimp scampi, and I had the NY strip steak. Our
favorite restaurant in Aruba as it’s consistently excellent all around. Just wish they wouldn’t be on vacation
when we have our CLBR timeshare in the first 2 weeks of September.

Last night in Aruba and luckily we were able to get to CS despite the flooding. DW had a veal dish -
Zuricher Geschnetzeltes , DD had the Weiner schnitzel, and I had the escargot for appetizer and the NY Strip steak (again). We also ordered sides of French fries & Spaetzel. Drinks, wine, food, and service was excellent as it always has been for us. Whenever we go to CS, I always think of ordering the chocolate fondue dessert that many reviews rave about - but we’re always too full after dinner.

My wife and I have visited Aruba 6 times in the past 7 years and on our first visit we discovered Chalet Suisse. We have made it a point to dine there twice a week during our stays on the island. The food and service are wonderful and our primary waiter Humphrey made the dining experience even more enjoyable. We would strongly urge anyone visiting Aruba to dine at Chalet Suisse.

I have been to Aruba many times and never dined at Chalet Suisse. All I can say is WOW!!!!! I have eaten at all of the 5 star restaurants Aruba has to offer including Flying Fishbone, Mirandis, Madame Janette, Passions On The Beach, LG Smiths Steak House, etc... and I'm really not sure why I missed this one but all I can say is I will never miss it again. Chalet Suisse is definately going to be a restaurant I go to each time I visit Aruba. We are a family of 4 and all of our meals were top notch. The service was excellent too. Compared to all of the top rated restaurants on this web site, this one takes the cake. (No pun intended) The way this review sounds you might think I am the owner of Chalet Suisse or work there but I am just a frequent Aruban tourist who had the best food and dining experience at a restaurant above and beyond all others.

Chalet Suisse is one of our must stops every year. The staff is so friendly and efficient especially our waiter, Humphrey this year and the food is always excellent. We look forward to another visit when we come again in February.
