We haven't been here since 2004 and glad we came back, even with 2 children. Food was wonderful (fish dishes were superb), and service was great. We will definitely be coming back.

WHAT CAN ONE SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE? Fabulous is too mild to describe it - everything is great and it is combined with impeccable service. The restaurant has maintained its standards of excellence for over 20 years and that is an incredible accomplishment in the competitive ARUBA restaurant market. GO - don't even think about not going. If there is only one place in ARUBA that you can get to eat at, CHALET SUISSE is the place that should be. The author rarely gives anyplace a 10 - CHALET SUISSE deserves more than a 10 rating!

Chalet Suisse was very busy and once again didn't seem to have my reservation when I arrived. I did set the reservation up via Internet and confirmed via phone upon arrival on the island. This happened at a few locations, always follow up on reservations!

Restaurant was very busy and service hectic and a bit rushed. Wine service was very rushed.

Food was good but not great. Certainly seems like a hot spot.

Four of us went to dinner tonight at Chalet Swisse. When the lady came to take our cocktail order our husbands ordered cocktails and when she asked myself and my sister in law what we would like we said water and she rolled her eyes. Very turned off by this to start.
Then we ordered dinner. Two of us had the shrimp scampy with linguine had no flavour and was very very bland. My husband ordered the specialty Suisse dish and it looked about as unappetizing as it tasted. My sister in law had the caeser salad which she enjoyed.
The toblerone dessert fondue was really good(the cake that came with it was hard and it would have been better just to stick with the fruit).

This year is our 10th trip to our time-share in Aruba, and Chalet Suisse has always given us consistently good food and service. In the mood for something a bit different, ask about their Swiss veal dish with the impossible name, and have it with their pea soup.

Our recent server Humphrey was both quick and amusing , a great combination.

This is a restaurant for regulars, and a reservation is a must!!

Great indoor restaurant experience. Very comfortable, attractive and close to low-rises. Professional service. We shared 2 porterhouse steaks for 2 for 5 people. Steaks were wonderful and were sliced table-side. Appetizers were shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp and escargot which were all very good. Salad special was okay. Chocolate cake dessert, warm and wonderful. We will go back, want to try the lobster tails, pea soup and geshezeltez and spaetzle. Cocktail/wine waitress/steward is a character.

The absolutely best lobster tail. The absolutely best veal milanese. Great pea soup. French onion soup to die for. The service is 5 star. Only small problem is we ordered and got our onion soup about one minute later and our entrees within 10 minutes. Even Americans don't want to eat that fast. We were out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. (We had a 7pm reservation). This is probably the best restaurant on the island, but please, what's the rush?
