My husband and I made reservations through their online reservation request form back in March for our anniversary in September. We specifically asked to be seated on the edge of the balcony. We even had our concierge confirm our reservations when we arrived on the island, although they did not confirm which table we would have. When we got there, they sat us 4 rows back, against a wall. I asked them about the reservations and the hostess replied that there was nothing she could do, those other tables had been reserved by table number. I had my confirmation email with me from back in March, she looked at it and said she would give us a discount on our meal, but she could not do anything else. However, when our bill came, there was no discount and the hostess was no where to be found. I would definitely not recommend spending the money (pricey) on this restaurant. The service was definitely not the best - we had a long wait to even place our order. While the actual sunset is beautiful, it is nothing you can not see other places. I had the fillet mignon and it was the worst I had all week. My other big complaint was as the sun went down, these small flying bugs appeared everywhere all over our table. Looking around you could see other guests swatting at them throughout their dinner. So, while the scenery is beautiful, the restaurant is definitely not worth it.

The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL- it's worth it just for the views- my beef carpaccio appetizer was great- otherwise- I wasn't too impressed with the food- I gave the food a 6 for the beef carpaccio.
I ordered the house salmon- big mistake- it had a strange, plasticy taste (like it was sitting in tupperware for too long)- my husband liked his pasta- but I was a bit hungry- dessert was pretty good.
Lesson learned- do not order a fish that is not native to the islands.

Go there for a drink at sunset but leave and eat dinner somewhere else. I feel like we wasted a dinner here. The atmosphere was great and they have a nice bar but the food... terrible. Overcooked gnocchi, undercooked red sauce for the pasta dishes. The service was VERY slow. It took 2 hours to eat dinner - and it's not a dining experience.

I read a lot of bad reviews on this restaurant, but still I had to see the sunset. You folk where all right!!! Sunset awesome. Food not that great. Had a Fillet Mignon, 2/3 of which was good. The other 1/3 could not be cut with a steak knife (gristle). She had the Lasagna with Tomato Sauce. She described it as lasagna with Campbell tomato soup poured on it. After a taste I had to agree. The service was good, lots of people running around. The sunset was great. Beware of the service charge noted on you bill as tax 15%. I asked the waiter if it was tax or a service charge. He told me "no its tax". Later I found out there is no tax on food in Aruba. A $30.00US meal that cost $120.00US with the fake tax and a tip. All for a sunset. We will skip this place on our next visit.

My wife and I went here for lunch in February, 2005 and there was nothing good about it. The server never brought our drinks until we were well into the meal and the iced tea was undrinkable. The waiter insisted that my sandwich was not intended to be served hot although I think it was, but I doubt it would have helped anyway. And whatever we gained by the view was more than lost by the incredible amount of flies which made lingering impossible.

What a disappointment! We were here 3 yrs ago, and loved it. This time, the setting was the only thing to speak positively of. The food was absolutely not fresh. My fish was defrosted, husband's steak was fatty and we couldn't get a check from our waitress to leave. No dessert was ordered, so no comment there. 7 nights on Aruba and this was our worst dining experience. Would not recommend or go back. Such a shame, it's a beautiful place!

What a wonderfull setting to serve bland, tasteless gruel. We just has the salads as those were the only availble choices at 4:30pm. My wife's wilted ceaser was tasty yet... wilted. I had the Fresh Mozzerla with tomatos and basil. My basic feeling is this: If you are going to have only three ingredients please try to make them the "best of the lot" a green centered tomato on a Whopper with Cheese is onethng... but when there are only two pieces of cheese and two tomato slices....seriously. Service was slow but the view made that a blessing. Oh by the way, the man with the hammer and stone chisle banging away five feet from the table, non-stop, for 45 minutes was only doing his job. So I didn't attack him with my ROCK HARD GREEN TOMATO SLICE.

Great view of the sunset. the best time to view the sunset depends on what season it is, but it typically is 6:00-6:30 P.M. The steak is absolutely superb.
