Faro Blanco Restaurant
Situated atop of the Hudishibana hill right next to Aruba’s most famous landmark the California lighthouse is our hidden gem. The Faro Blanco Restaurant which once was the dwellings of the lighthouse keeper now serves Aruba and it's guests the best in Italian cuisine.

As the only restaurant boasting this unique location, guests can enjoy a truly unspoiled view over Aruba’s west coast untouched nature. The sunset and views over Aruba create a spectacular palette of colors, ideal for taking pictures and creating new and lasting memories.

My husband and I and friends we met all ate here last year on our last night in Aruba and we just loved it. My husband and I are returning to Aruba in 102 days and we will be eating at this restaurant again. We watched the Sunset and took pictures and it was just beautiful. Can't wait to return.

Once, again, we are beat to our review by the comments of DONNA whcih we agree with. This restaurant is little more than a tourist trap with a great view. The food is mediocre and overepriced and the service is poor - but the view is spectacular. The place simply is not worth going to and we will not be returning.

I was in Aruba last week and out of the seven restaurants we had dinner in I would have to say this was the biggest disappointment as far as the food went. There were four in our party and we all had different appetizers and pasta dishes all of which lacked flavor. The service was SO slow we were there for hours, the only redeeming quality the place had was the gorgeous view which really has nothing to do with the restaurant. I would skip the dinner and just take a ride to the light house where you will get the same view!!

A truly magical experience for both of us! We'd made reservations for sunset before we'd read some of the more critical review posted so we were nervous about eating here, but went anyway. We are so glad that we did! The food was excellent - the Osso bucco was perfect and the fettucine Alfredo very good. The service was perfect - they didn't hover or check on us over frequently, they just let us linger over a meal and a night that will be a cherished memory forever. Plus Deb introduced Mark to Grappa for the first time!

Although we have been to Aruba many times this was our first visit to Faro Blanco. We both agreed we would go back for drinks at sunset time, but not bother with dining there. We arrived at 5:30 for our 5:30 reservations. Although the restaurant was almost empty we were asked to go the the bar to wait. While there my husband ordered a cocktail and I had a glass of water, saying I would wait till we were seated to have a drink. Next people that came in asked what was on special for happy hour and were told cocktails and wine. After 15 to 20 min we were seated. I asked our waiter if all the house wines were on the happy hour. I was told happy hour only applied to the bar--not the dining room. So I paid $9 for the same glass of wine I could've had in the bar for $4.50. I do wish the bartender had mentioned that when I said I would wait on a drink. Dinner was fine but nothing special. We shared an appetizer and had no dessert. I had chicken with tortellini and my husband had chicken parmesan. I had 2 glasses of wine and my husband had 2 cocktails and our total bill was $108. We should've just had drinks in the bar and gone out to the patio for sunset. Next time we will know better.

I agree with another reviewer - go for lunch, get an appitizer and water, get your pictures and leave.
We went for dinner and sat on the covered porch. Ants & flys everywhere. Food was not worth the price, lasagna was mushy (overcooked), chicken parm was small. Waitstaff not friendly until it was time to tip.
We won't be going back.

The view is the most incredible sight. What a delight to dine outside and look at that view.

We found the food wonderful, enjoyed by all.

The service was excellent.

I would recommend this restaurant and will return next year.

The view is spectacular! This was our first time to the restaurant and we had an enjoyable lunch there. We were hoping to return for dinner, but didn't make it - that will be something to do next year. The dinner menu is fabulous and, if it is done as well as lunch, then this place would clearly join Hostaria Da Vittorio as one of the better Italian dining places in ARUBA. In our opinion, the view in incomparable - there is nothing like it on the Island - even if you don't want to eat, go out some evening for a spectacular sunset.

Overall the food and service was disapointing and over priced. The only value he is the view which is breath taking, so I would recommend that you arrive for a cocktail and have dinner somewhere else.
