Faro Blanco Restaurant
Situated atop of the Hudishibana hill right next to Aruba’s most famous landmark the California lighthouse is our hidden gem. The Faro Blanco Restaurant which once was the dwellings of the lighthouse keeper now serves Aruba and it's guests the best in Italian cuisine.

As the only restaurant boasting this unique location, guests can enjoy a truly unspoiled view over Aruba’s west coast untouched nature. The sunset and views over Aruba create a spectacular palette of colors, ideal for taking pictures and creating new and lasting memories.

This was a very poor dinner indeed. We've been many times before on previous holidays and it was always very nice. This year was very different. Ordered lasagne - it was cold and nothing but pasta and cheese. In short, expensive, sub-standard food, inattentive service.

Location is stunning and I think it's easy to focus on this and forget about the food and service. In future we will go up there for the view and then go to another restaurant for a meal, probably Moby Dick's as this restaurant was beautiful, as were many others.

We had a ok dinner here. The view is spectacular, and our server was quite nice. There was nothing wrong with any of our appetizers or entrees, but they were not as good as other restaurants we dined at on the island. Worth a try, but I would make it a lunch destination.

My wife and I have made a point of celebrating our last three anniversaries at La Trattoria. We love the food and especially eating outside on the deck and watching the most beautiful sunset. March 25th we will be there again and can not wait.

My wife even ordered a meal not on the menu and they did an excellent job.

Excellent. We had lunch once and dinner twice and they are by far the best. Maybe $1 more but who would not pay this for excellent italian food, nice service and the most amazing views of the ocean, aruba, sunset, golf course ... just amazing. Would recommend Faro Blanco 100%. They also have a $ 48 menu which is perfect value as it is a 3 course plus a drink. For us they should be the number 1.

Quite honestly, I don't know how this restaurant is not in the top 5 on the island. The food and drinks were incredible and the atmosphere could not have been more perfect. We got there right before sunset on Jan. 6th and had a drink while watching the sun set. We ate dinner after and I liked how they did not rush you through dinner. I ordered from the special menu which includes an appetizer, meal, dessert and a glass of wine which came to $48. My husband ordered veal and was not thrilled, but he loved my meal and he loved the appetizers and dessert. Can't wait to go back for our anniversary next year!

On Oct 23, 2008 at 5PM we stopped for the mini menu advertised on the El Faro Blanco web site. The cashier/greeter indicated that was not available, and seemed put out but would seat us for dinner.
The view was nice, the server very efficient and friendly, and the entrees very good, but we were disappointed since we had not planned on dinner at 5PM.

My wife has gone here for the past four years and raved about it. You have to understand that you go here for the view and a looong relaxing dinner. It seemed to me that no one was in a hurry to do anything but it does give you more time to enjoy the view. I had the calamari to start which was very good but not the best on the island. My fist timee at an expensive resturant I always ask for what ever the chef feels is his best meal of the day and I was not disappointed. The meal presentation was very nice and our waiter was freindly and very polite and professional. It seemed we waited a long time between courses but that seems to be the norm for the European dinning. We waited again for our check after we asked.
I also felt this was a bit high priced for the food and service. Although when you include the spectacular view which other resterants don't have, it equaled out. I'm sure we will go back.

Visited a lot of restaurants in our three week stay, basically 21! This is not one of the places that we will return too, there are too many other great places to eat on Aruba. The food was OK, nothing more. Prices were high, service was below Aruban avg.
When we came in, we were sent to the bar where the bartender immediately put two napkins on the bar and asked what we wanted to order. This was in a restaurant where there was no reason to wait for seating, because there were lots of empty tables. A tourist ripoff. Prices were quite high for the food quality. The amount of food was way to much for Europeans, like in most places on Aruba.
