Ate here in January 2008. Food not very good, could make better myself, and small portions. Salad was huge, other food small. Get a salad.

I went with my boyfriend and it was one of the few beautiful places we've been to. We found the environment too special and the attention was so good, the food in two words "GREAT and FRESH", the dessert I have no words, but... SUBLIME... We hope to go there and have dinner the next time we visit Aruba.

Dined March 18, 2008

Go for a cocktail and watch the sunset. Then go elsewhere for dinner.

We were seated right away as we had reservations, however, we waited 15 minutes to be greeted and then another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The waitstaff was very inattentive.

Sunset was beautiful.

My husband ordered a Caesar Salad to start and it had a strong flavor of old fish. Not good and cost $14.00!

I ordered the shrimp and tomato sauce for an entree, it was $38.00. My plate arrived with 5 (five) small shrimp and one had been out of the ocean a bit too long! The shrimp were accompanied by zucchini and squash dripping in oil. That's it.

My husband had a grilled chicken breast on cheese tortellini in a tomato cream sauce that he did not enjoy for $30'ish.

The waitstaff was MIA throughout the whole dinner.

Upon finishing dinner, we waited at least 30 minutes for the bill to arrive and were not offered after dinner drinks or dessert.

Also, stray cats roamed the terrace during dinner.

We visit every year. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is authentic. We are Italians and know. JM

We love to dine here because of the terrific view. The food is fair and the price IS high. Service has always been acceptable. I usually order penni puttanesca and have never been disappointed. I realize that this restaurant has received more than its share of criticism, but I certainly wouldn't return every year if it were a terrible place to dine for whatever reason. Stick to pasta and enjoy the view.

DON'T GO!
My wife and I along with our 3 children ages 22, 20 and 16 spent 6 days in Aruba during the week between 1/1/08 and 1/7/08. This by far was the worst restaurant that we spent any time and much money at.
The atmosphere above the island was beautiful and breathtaking, all else was terrible.
The prices were at least $10.00 per entree above the posted prices on the internet site as well as the menu our hotel.
When we arrived they told us that we were 20 minutes early (as we were) for our reservation and to have a seat at the bar as our table wasn't ready.
We chose to wait in the lobby while they decided to see if we were to spend any money at the bar in this 1/2 empty restaurant. When they determined that we were not to buy any drinks at the bar they decided to seat us.
The service was terrible as the server had little if any understanding of English. While they did provide an order on the house of bruschetta they do not serve bread, although they will sell you a focaccia for $9.00!

The prices for anywhere in the world were outrageous, example is an order of pasta with a red sauce and small pieces of salmon for $36.00
The sauce tasted similar to what I recall Spaghetti O's (No insult to Franco American intended)

We decided to order a glass or 2 of Chianti and while this was house wine it was served warm and the portion was small at best.

Lastly, while we did not have appetizers, nor dessert or coffee this was by far my HIGHEST PRICED bill for our entire stay. Other restaurants that we dined at included El Goucho, Madame Janette as well as Acqua Grill most with more food, more selection and better service.

In closing, want the view and the experience, go during the day or go for drinks and appetizers here do NOT go for dinner!

This has to be one of the best places to dine if you want to have great food along with an outstanding view.
The perfect location is to be on the lower terrace around sunset... you will never forget it!
On a warm sunny day... it may be better inside.
My wife and I were on vacation from New Jersey along with some family. All of us walked away with one simple word- spectacular!
The food was very good, the service timely and the deserts a real treat!

This will definitely become a 'regular' spot for us whenever we visit Aruba.
And... oh yes... bring a camera- you will not regret it!

Location, Location, Location. Lovely restaurant. Unfortunately the day we had reservations it poured so there was no seating on the lower terrace. The food was ok. Being from New Jersey the best Italian food is never far away. The thing I didn't like about this restaurant was nothing was given, i.e. bread, etc. If you wanted bread with your dinner, you needed to order it, and their idea of Foccacia is not what it is in Jersey. It looked more like a pita bread. It was the ambiance and atmospher you go for.
