This must not be the same place I was at in December. Service was the worst I have ever experienced at ant restaurant in my life. To make matters worse when I complained after watching other people get served that came in after the 2 of us, the response was that bigger tables get served first. I went to the manager and he said the waiter was wrong and appoligized but still did nothing to get our food. I got up to leave after 2 hours and he said the food was on the way out.I told him I didnt want it but decided to sit down and eat because it was late and didnt want the hassle of going somewhere else at 10 oclock. It still gets worse, the portions were so small it was unbelievable. My wife got a shrimp and pasta dish that was $35.00 and it came with 3 medium shrimp. My veal parm. had 1 little pice of veal. On the way back to the hotel the cab driver verified that he had heard alot of complaints from there. They have a bad attitude and do business only because of the location. It is pretty up there but never again for me and believe me when I tell you that I never complain at a restaurant but this place put me over the edge.

An impromtu lunch stop for us as we were touring around the California Lighthouse. Fantastic view from our table. The service was friendly and attentive and unrushed. We had a bruchetta appetizer and split one of the parma ham sandwiches and the tomato salad. Everything was delicious!! It is a little pricey but well worth it!!!

Truly spectacular setting and of course the sunset! Great drinks, bruschetta was tangy and loaded with frest tomatoes and wonderful olive oil. Quite pricey, and while the food seems to have improved over other diners' previous reviews, it's just not as fabulous as one would expect for such a spectacular setting. Red sauce is just OK. Last year ('06) there was that mysterious "tax" that actually was a tip (we were smart enough to ask) but this year the "tax" has been removed from the bill. Prices seem to have gone up, however, with many plates in the high 20s and into the 30 dollar range. Sevice was very attentive.

We discovered this gem of a restaurant a few years ago. We make sure to go at least a couple times each year during our vacation on this beautiful island. The food is fabulous, with very generous portions. There are so many great items on the menu that it is quite difficult to make a selection. The service is impeccable. We never feel rushed and have always been treated like royalty. This year year we brought friends who were here for the day on a cruise to dinner. They loved it as much as we did. We have eaten at many restaurants around the world and this is indeed a favorite of ours. We recommend it to all our friends who come to Aruba. Everyone of them agree with us. The view and sunset are to die for. Keep up the good work. See you next year.

This was the worst restaurant that my husband and I went to during our honeymoon for many reasons. We ordered: veal parm and Tagliata Di Pollo Alla Vodka (which is according to their website 'a Boneless chicken breast mixed with cheese filled Tortellini with a creamy pink sauce prepared with fresh tomatoes, basil and a splash of vodka'). Well, after we ordered our meal, no appetizers, our food was delivered to our table in less than 5 minutes-they did not even pretend to cook the food. With the prices they charge, I expect a chef to actually take some time cooking my meal. Then, when my plate arrived (the chicken dish), I was stunned to find a plate of tortellini with about 5 thin chicken strips like you might find in a Caesar salads. I ordered a chicken breast off the meat menu and instead was given a mostly pasta dish with a garnish of chicken. To further add to the insult, when we got the bill, I was stunned at the price. Both my dish and my husband's meal were listed as $25 each on the menu, but we were charged $35 for the chicken meal and $30 for the veal. Additionally, the wines we ordered were also falsely priced. They also then had the nerve to make a point to let us know there was no service charge and need a tip. Horrible!

We ate here on our last night in Aruba. What a wonderfully delicious meal to end our visit. The sunset was gorgeous, and the food was great! I had large cheese tortellini w/ chicken in vodka sauce - it was to die for! For dessert, my boyfriend and I split the biggest cannoli we'd ever seen :) The only downfall was they didn't seem to have a separate area for smokers, so I had to switch my seat at one point so I wasn't breathing it in. A small price to pay for such an incredible meal and beautiful sunset!

Food was o.k. view was spectacular at sunset, like alot of the other reviews I would say the service was average at best. I will go there again for drinks at sunset only, and then go to madam janettes......for a great meal, and service.

We dined here on the evening of 7/18/06. The attention and friendliness of our hostess, Vienna was outstanding. This attitude was prevalent throughout the service staff. Vienna heard that we had recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary--and promptly set a celebratory response culminating in a delicious dessert topped with a huge sparkler candle. The manager and wait staff participated.A memorable evening! Highly reccommend La Trattoria for the food and service.

Bought Tsharing at the Marriott as we fell in love with Aruba and the Lighthouse restaurant is one of our favorite spots. During our 4 weeks in June we visited every week for Dinner and also once for lunch. Food and place has the special Italian touch. We are Italians and love it. Try the Osobucco. It's the BEST. My wife loves the Tortellini with shrimps prepared with vodka .. my childrens love it all. The view is amazing for sunset. We will go back in November for 2 wks and will be back at least 3 times for dinner. They are the best of Italy in Aruba. Rob
