This past December we tried Gianni's for the first time and ended up there 2 times. We will be back in Aruba in May and will probably eat there 3 more times !!! Gianni's is our new favorite restaurant !!! Also Julian is an excellent waiter !!!

For you people that go to Aruba in the HIGH SEASON, quit being so impatient and try to relax. Isn't that why you are on vacation ?

GIANNI'S IS THE PLACE TO GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every year since Gianni's has been open we visit at least twice. The food has been fabulous. We both have not had anything but a exceptional meals. The staff has been very attentive. We loved Valentinos' and this place is almost as good.We have eaten there probably 7 or 8 times with no complaints at all. We will be there in May at least twice and can't wait.
Some people must have had a bad day when they went here.

Despite all the poor service reviews for this restaurant, we gave it a shot. We were attended to immediately and the excellent service continued throughout our stay. The waiter even made a point of coming over and thanking us and shaking our hands before we left (we did have an early reservation). The food was excellent and cooked perfectly. My child is picky and they were very accomodating to her tastes.
We will be back next year

We have been to Gianni's in the past and were pleased, but this year it is a whole different story. We had made a reservation of course and when we showed up they asked us to wait a few minutes for a table to clear up. When another couple came in after us who also had a reservation were seated immediately at which point I had to remind the hostess that we also had a reservation and were asked to wait. She quickly seated us in the most remote location of the outdoors very close to the street. Once our food was eventually ordered we waited for a very long time to recieve our salads and then over 45 minutes for our main course. When the food was finally delivered, we did not see any wait staff to ask how our dinner was, especially as my wife's risotto was undercooked. When the wait staff finally showed up, and I told the about the situation, they of course asked why we didn't say something earlier. I called for the manager, who was busy and the owner eventually came to the table. Until they can manage to get their service back to was was experienced when they first opened, I doubt we will ever go back again.

Been to Gianni's a couple of times. Last time was in January 2009.Upon being seated, our waiter asked if we wanted a drink? I asked to see the wine list. He brought it and stood over us waiting for our decision. I asked for a few minutes to look at their selection, which by the way is very weak.He continued to stand over us. I Ordered a bottle of Kendall Jackson cabernet sav. When a different waiter brought the wine to our table, my son noticed that the bottle was sweating as it was chilled. I told the waiter I did not want chilled red wine. I then ordered a corona. 5 minutes later the waiter asked about the wine. I told him I did not want it as it was chilled, and red wine should be served room temperture.5 minutes later the manager brought back the same wine. I repeated my reason. Still no corona. Our meals came, the original waiter came and asked about the wine again. I repeated my same story and asked for my Corona. The Corona came, finished our meal and asked for our check. Guess what was on my bill? Of course the wine. The food wasn't bad, a bit overpriced. Small portions. Moral of the story, they don"t know anything about quality wines.

Despite some negative reviews on the website, decided to eat at Gianni's with 2 other families, most of which were Italian. There were 4 kids and 8 adults. We all tried different items on the menu and for the most part were extremely pleased with all aspects of the dinner. The restaurant was very accommodating to our large party. We will return.

Was very hesitant to try this restaurant when our concierge doubted we would like it, but had recommendations from home, so we went. We are from NJ and my husband is a chef and owns an Italian restaurant, so we like good food.
We had an 8:30 reservation and did not get seated until 9pm, even though there were plenty of inside tables available. It seemed they forgot about us at the bar, and when we went to check on our table, the overwhelmed host had an attitude.
Once seated, the service was ok. We both ordered a salad, but only one was brought. We then split the Fusilli Bolognese, which was tasty, but just on the verge of passing for chili on top of pasta. Osobucco was very good but the risotto (unknown if it was cheddar) that is served with it tasted like Kraft Mac & Cheese. Veal scallopini had a nice taste and the meat was very tender.
Overall, the food was edible and I have had worse Italian on vacation, but unsure if we would go back.

The food tasted good- no complaints about the taste or presentation but nothing great either. I thought that it was way over priced ( for pasta $40.00)and nothing special for all the extra money they charge. You could get the same quality in most US cities for half the price. I probably wouldn't go back but still I rather spend too much and at least get decent food.

This place didn't do a thing for us. We have been to the sister restaurant in Playa Linda and thought we would try here. The service is disjointed at best, a lot of people doing nothing. The food is good, not great, and over priced for good Italian food. The atmosphere is nice outside, but the tables are close and there is no privacy. Not a place we go back to.
