We had a 7:00 reservation for 2 made by the Marriott Concierge for Saturday, 2/23. We were seated promptly. The service was a little confusing in the beginning, but then straigtened out. The food was delicious. Definetly on our list of restaurants for our yearly vacation in Aruba. Also, must mention Daniels which is connected to Gianni's. It's a steak and chop restaurant. But they will serve off of Gianni's menu if requested. They share the same kitchen. The food and service was excellent at Daniel's. The filet mignon was great. Another restaurant to add to our list! And, there was no waiting line. It just opened and is starting to "catch on".

We hadn't been to Aruba since 2005 and my were we surprised at all the developments! And we were pleasantly surprised with our dinner at Gianni's, esp since we didn't even have to wait for a table (went around 9ish) and got seated outside, which we liked "next to the street". It took a few minutes for our waiter(s) to come by, but we're in Aruba and so c'est la vie d'Aruba! The jumbo shrimp pasta dish I got was very good, and the only downside of this dinner was that it actually started to downpour (all of 5 minutes) just as we were finishing our brownie dessert. Of course everyone ran inside and it took a bit for our waiter to find us, which was understandable during all the chaos, and he asked if we wanted a new dessert in case we weren't finished with ours. Trust me, if I could have packed it in I would have accepted, but I was full to the brim! We'll definitely go back again without a doubt, and I love sitting outside regardless of any unexpected weather changes!

Had a reservation for 2/5/08 at 7:30 PM
for four people. We were there promptly and had to wait on line for half hour or more. They were very disorganized. Four different waiters and waitresses took our cocktail order which arrived after a long wait and was not correct. The service for food was terrible. We didn't even bother to order dessert.

WOW! What a nice surprise! This was my fourth trip to Aruba and have had some incredible food there, but this was my favorite!!! I had the veal parm and my mom and sister had shrimp pasta dishes. I have never tasted anything more tender and what an incredible sauce! We will definitely be going back their on our next year return. Maybe we'll go twice!!!!

My wife & I ate here on January 10. This restaurant is owned by the same person who owns Sole Mare, and it seems that he has made Gianni's a more up-scale version of Sole Mare with some of the same items on the menu. The food was good but service was a bit slow. If you are at one of the high rise hotels and want to walk to a restaurant, this would be acceptable, but since we usually have a car, we will probably try a different Italian restaurant on our next trip here.

We had dinner there on a recommendation. Our waiter was Mike. We had our 19 month old son with us. For him, they made us a child dish of penne with butter. There were probably 20 penne for $10! I ordered the chicken parm - it was so-so. We also received the bill that was calculated in error overcharging us by about $50 USD. It took about 15 minutes to get a corrected bill. Alas, I had no problem leaving a tip above the 15% charge they bake into the bill. We will not go back!

We had dinner there our first night in Aruba and it was GREAT. We live in the New York City area and are lucky to have access to great Italian food. The table side Flaming Parmesan Spagetti was the best pasta I've ever had, sorry Mrs. M. Gotta go were are going back tonight.

My wife and I went to this restaurant because my friends mentioned that it was good. We arrived on time for our reservation of 8:30 and were given our seats quickly. We ordered our main course at 8:45 and were given our meals at 8:50. I am not exaggerating here and I wonder how in the world they prepared the food in 5 minutes. I believe they were trying to recycle us, the quicker we leave the quicker they can seat someone else. This left a very sour taste. So we ate and paid for the food and left. I certainly won't go there again because it seems they care more about getting people in and out. Also the food was nothing to talk about, very mediocre.

Just ate there last week and loved it! I don't know why people are complaining about sitting outside by the street as all of the restaurants near the high rise hotels that offer outside dining are "on the street". It was beautiful there and certainly not like dining on the street in a busy city [which we also love]. In fact, we walked through the inside and I wouldn't eat in there if you paid me...very loud and not at all pretty.

The wait staff was very attentive. We had 3 people serving us at all times and had very little wait for anything.

As far as the food goes, I had veal parm which was tender and delicious. my wife had the chicken parm which was equally as good. May not be the best italian food that we have eaten, but certainly some of the best in Aruba and well worth the try!
