On the last night of our honeymoon my husband and I ate here and it was the best meal we had all week. We are both Italian and from new york. The food was spectacular, we got mussels in white wine which were so good that we wanted to drink the sauce and dipped all of our bread in it. He got the veal osso buco which he still raves over to this day as the best he's ever had. My four cheese gnocchi was excellent and the huge homemade cannoli we had for dessert was to die for. The only thing somewhat lacking was the slow service even though there were only a few tables of people there. We definitely plan on going back during our next trip. This is authentic italian food, and i believe that anyone who attempts to order chicken parm or spaghetti at an authentic italian restaurant is used to eating non-authentic american italian food, so they shouldn't be surprised at their own disappointment for ordering the most cliche "italian" dish possible.

We always loved Giannis, when they enlarged the restaurant they started having problems, attention to detail was lost, we were rushed the wait staff was rushing around, it was not relaxing. Our first visit a few years ago we went with a large group they all wanted to go back & we were only in Aruba for 4 nights. But things have changed I'll be back in Aruba Feb 14 but I am sorry to say I will not return to Giannis again. Such a disappointment!!!!!!!

Best Italian restaurant on the island. We went there twice during this stay. We went there expecting it to be just average one night and it was great all around. There insalata mista is fresh and the dressing is homemade. There ceasar salad is perfect too. Their portions are also very generous. We had chicken parm and rigatoni arabiata both were amazing. Second time we had linguini with clams and spagetti both times we had the homemade chocolate salami dessert.. Again it was amazing. The service was great and prices are average for dinner on the island. We will definitely go back next time. If you want to sit outside make reservations.

If you are from the NY NJ area and have had the pleasure of eating real good Italian food, DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. The Chicken Parm my aunt ordered looked more like Buffalo Chicken. The sauce was orange. The chicken was poorly cooked.

As the restaurant did not have one single beef dish I was told I could order my entree from Daniel's next door. What I got was by far the worst Lamb Chops I've ever had. I love lamb chops. The portion was terrific.....too bad I couldn't even finish one of them.

If you're from the MIdwest, Florida or anywhere else, you may love Gianni's. DIning outside is real nice, unless you're sitting near smokers. But NY/NJ residents......STAY AWAY. FAR AWAY.

While this restaurant has a very inviting and happy atmosphere, we found the service, price and food severely lacking. We were a party of five people and we all ordered something different. It's hard to believe that Italian food could taste bad, but unfortunately it was. Three of the orders were just okay, but two of them were just plain horrible. This restaurant operated more like a factory than a restaurant.

We were there between Christmas and New Years, arguably one of the busiest weeks of the year.
This restaurant totally overbooks their capacity and it creates an intolerable situation. We went for a 9 PM reservation and you could not even get near the host to give your name. People were waiting inside, outside and you felt like you were in the NY subway during rush hour. We left and went to their sister restaurant next door, Dnaiel's and sat right down.
We went later in the week as friends told us we had to eat there. We tried a 9:30 reservation, and if you can believe it, things were worse! We we not seated until about 45 minutes after we arrived and everyone was complaining and arguing wiht the hostess and manager.
It was not worth the wait as the food was fair at best and very overpriced.
Nothing else really needs to be said except we will NEVER go back again.

We have eaten here since they opened and have generally had good meals. This year
our table of 6 was generally disappointed. Had to ask waiter 5 times for more bread. Waited 20 minutes beyond our 8:30 reservation to be seated. The food was oversalted and very average. Living in New York we have a vast array of Italian restaurants to choose from and the food here is really no better than your average pizzaria.

I had read the mixed reviews but we were looking for place to eat after touring the island all day. We ate there Thursday of our vacation the week after Thanksgiving. The food was good-nothing spectacular but good. I just asked for a spaghetti with red sauce and SO got the chicken cacciatore with penne-the chicken was falling off the bone. We both loved the bread. SO had a garden salad. I got the Prosciutto e Mozzarella-it was yummy too. Neither of us got a dessert.

We really liked Gianni's and yes it is expensive. Italian food both stateside and in Aruba is no longer the reasonably priced night out it once was. That being said our artichoke appetizer was simple and excellent. My wife's 2.2 LB. Caribbean Lobster was extremely pricey, but I feel worth every penny considering the portion and preparation. My seafood rissotto was very good but not great. I find Aruban restaurants do not grasp how real rissotto is supposed to be prepared. My limon baba(sponge cake) for dessert was very good and virtually soaked in limoncello.
