My friend and I went here on our last day on the island. We are both Italian and from New York City and this restaurant rates very high. We've been exposed to and have eaten in some of the best Italian restaurants. Don't listen to reviews where people compare it to Olive Garden. This restaurant is no where close to an Olive Garden. For appetizer, my friend and I shared the fusilli with sausage/bolognese sauce which was
excellent. For my main course, I had the pork chop with sausage, broccoli rabe and roasted potatoes. The portions are huge and the service is excellent. I would definitely go back again.

My husband and I discovered this tasteful and delicious restaurant on our most recent trip, Nov. 2004. And, I am shocked to read some of the negative reviews. We are huge italian cuisine people and thought this was THE BEST ITALIAN we have ever had; considering the irony that we our all time favorite italian restaurant is located in the Caribbean. Nonetheless, we were visiting Aruba for 2 weeks and went twice! More than impressed our first trip, we thought that they couldn't surpass it our next trip. They did! The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure our water glasses were never below half full and our beverages were never lacking. The food is rich in taste and reasonably priced, for Aruba. Note: Most of Aruba is somewhat higher in price for dinner than in the US.

Olive Garden, this is not. We spoke with the Exec. Chef and owner to let them know of our excellent service and delicious food - and were pleasantly surprised to hear that all of their food is imported directly from Italy (the owner and chef's native country).
My husband and I live in Hamilton, NJ which is directly 45 minutes between Philadelphia and New York City - places well known for their italian cuisine. Our area even has a little Italy called Chambersberg. Of all of the italian restaurants on the east coast that we have visited (and there have been many), Hostaria Da Vittorio surpassed them all in every category; so much so that we begged the owner and chef to move to Hamilton and open a restaurant there.

This was our least favorite meal the entire week. Way over priced and less than average in taste. My boyfriend had veal and I had the pomodora. We both said Olive Garden was 10 times better and 1/3 the cost. Live and learn.

This is a very good italian restaurant with very good service and reasonable prices. Had a veal dish that exceeded my expectations; kids had pasta which was also very good. If you are looking for Italian, this may be the place to go.

We've been frequent customer's at Hostaria da Vittorio and found it less than wonderful this past February. The Osso bucco and risotto were not up to their best standard. The risotto was 'watery'. The tiramisu, usually excellent, was not authentic and was like a supermarket version. Way too much whipped cream and hardly any marscapone or lady fingers. The night we went the staff looked miserable. could it be that the capitan was having a bad night? He seemed to be barking at them. We'll skip it again in September. It's not cheap and will wait to hear reports that it has improved. Doug and Dan

The atmosphere somewhat similar to Macaroni Grill in the states. Having dined the night before at Tuscony (Marriott) we noted that Tuscony was a better experience dollar for dollar. I had shrimp scampi and my husband had gnocchi. The shrimp scampi appetizer I ordered at Tuscony was so delicious I chose to order shrimp again as my main course. Although it was served with pasta, and cost $24 I only had 6 shrimp. My appetizer at Tuscony was $11 with 6 of the most delicious shrimp I'd ever had. The arugula salad was excellent, would prefer the kitchen to toss with dressing. Difficult to toss tableside. The gnocchi were over cooked but the sauce was good. The bread was delicious. Breadsticks served with the bread tasted like the paper wrapping. Since there are so many other Italian restaurants in the area, I think I'd go back to Tuscony or give a different restaurant a try. The wine list was limited. Not much in the way of Italian white wines...Kendal Jackson is a grocery store wine.

This is a great Italian restaurant located in the high rise hotel area, next to the Hyatt’s parking lot and across from the SETAR office. They have both inside and outside seating. We always enjoy our meal here. Our only problem is that everything is so good and the portions are so big, we can never finish our meal. We do take the leftovers back for lunch the next day, but we also like the fact that they will work with you as to what you want to order. If you just want to order appetizers and no main course, it’s not a problem. They also have pizza available if you want something light. For our appetizer, we both had the Eggplant Parmigiana. It is excellent there, and next time I think I’ll get a double order for my entrée. For our entrées, we had one order of the Penne Puttanesca and one order of Fusili alla Carrettiera, and both were excellent. For dessert, we both had the Baba Napoletano alla Crema, which we love. We love the pasta dishes there, and tend to order them as a main course rather than the meat or seafood entrées. We also love their seafood soup. We’ve also had the salads and pizza there, and while they’re very good, we just enjoy the other dishes more.
