BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN ARUBA I ALMOST HAD TO MAKE IT THERE EVERYDAY WHILE I WAS ON THE ISLAND. THE FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS ANYTHING ELSE WAS JUST AN EXTRA.

Never heard of this restaurant before, but we dined here for the first time on the weekend of 11/20/08 with visiting friends and relatives. Bad experience for me - OK experience for the others. I ordered the sea bass - very pricy for $40, and was very dissatisfied. The portion size was so small, there could only be 4 or 5 bite-size pieces in it. They tried to arrange it on the plate to look "large", hence my score of '5' for 'Presentation'. I was so hungry that I ate everything on my plate (there weren't many veggies there, either). They saw my facial expression and heard my family exclaim how small the meal was. As a result, and without asking me, they brought me a new meal - Grouper! Had they asked me beforehand, they would have discovered that I didn't like Grouper. Then they brought me a courtesy desert, without asking me to select, and it also wasn't my favorite, so I gave it away. Our waiter service was not attentive. There were many occasions when we had to flag down a passing waiter to make our requests at this very busy, and seemingly understaffed, restaurant. I recommend you avoid it and find another Italian restaurant, and please read all the posted restaurant reviews first to help improve your chances of a better dining experience.

We visited again this year after not remebering our first bad experience in July 2007. Terribly overpriced and service was sub par. Tried the ravioli this time which was nothing more than frozen Celentano ravioli drowned in Ragu sauce, all that for $20.00 !!! We will not be back.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate their twice during our vacation. The food is excellent and so is the service.

We thoroughly enjoy every meal we have had at Hostaria da Vittorio. The staff greets us happily and we usually sit near the kitchen (by choice) to watch the chefs in action. The portions are generous and taste delicious. We have never had a bad meal here. Anyone planning a visit to Aruba should try this wonderful restaurant!

My husband and I ate there twice the week of 10/30/07. My husband LOVED the cheese plate. After we ate, I realized I left ALL of my money/creditcards/travels checks in the safe in our room! They could NOT have been nicer about us having to go get our money!! =0)

When you want Italian, this is what you want your food to be like. Service was pleasant and friendly. The food stole the show in my opinion, nice to see the Chef / Owner cooking behind the line. As my Italina friends use to say, just like Mama use to make, only a little bit better.

ATE HERE ON 4/13/08. WE ASKED TO BE SEATED OUSTIDE WHICH WAS A MISTAKE. THE WAITER WAS RUDE. ORDERED LASAGNA. IT WASN'T GOOD & COST $27.

We really enjoy this restaurant for it's food, service and atmosphere. We always get veal dishes which are excellent. There is always plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.

Friends raved about this place and we wonder why. Small portions, not the best taste, and wait staff that you could not find add to the poor rating.
