This has to be the worst meal of my life. The food quality in this resturant is horrible, the service is worse.I went with my family of 6 people. Every meal was disgusting and they did nothing to compensate us. Then to boot they tried to charge me for a wine that was not even on there slim list. I would never go there again and nor should anyone who is looking for an edible meal.

One of the worst meals ever! 3 of us dined here on 1/27/08. We had an excellent meal at the Aqua Grill the night before, and were looking forward to another good meal here, but it didn't happen. I will not even mention the numerous service issues (except one), because I can usually overlook those if the food is good. For me, it's more about the food. So my caesar salad arrives and is the worst I've ever had. It tasted like just plain romaine lettuce, but had a strange bitter taste. After several bites, I felt nauseous and had to use the men's room. For a while I thought I would throw up, but I never did. The salad did go right through me however. My friend's mixed-green salad was good, although it was delivered with NO dressing. When he asked the waiter about it, the waiter admitted that he forgot to put the dressing on it (evidently, the waiters offer the dressing tableside for the mixed-green salad). Then, behind me, I hear another couple complaining to the waiter about how bad the caesar salad was and demanded that it be removed from the bill. I turned and told them that I agreed with them.

Next, the entrees arrive. I had the chicken parmesan. As I started cutting into it, I realized that the chicken was raw! It was glistening in the middle and was very difficult to cut. I was totally grossed out. I then worried all night that I'd be sick from the little bit of it that I ate. Other entree was Gnocci in Pomodoro sauce which was "average" but overpriced at
$26. Third entre was Chicken Piccata which was the most edible of the 3 (it seemed to be fully cooked which is a plus).

I am shocked at several things, with the first being that this restaurant has ANY positive reviews. Mixed in with the numerous terrible reviews, there seems to be bunches of positive reviews all together, which makes me wonder who is posting these. Second, I am shocked that this place can stay in business, except that they must cater to tourists who don't do their research on where they are eating in advance. It's a shame because the restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area that could be enjoyable if they would do something about their food and service. The best part of this restaurant is their nice bathroom. I should know since I spent 20 minutes of my time there due to the lousy food).

I totally agree! We are currently still IN Aruba for the first time, and the food prices ARE ridiculous whether or NOT you have small children! The dinner we had at this restaurant was overwhelmingly overpriced, marginal as far as taste, and the service was horrible in every way. We do NOT recommend this place at all and would not return.

What is the issue with sharing meals in Aruba? The menu states "sharing meals add $6.00". We are a family of 4 with two young children. The kids never finish a child size meal, no point in ordering their own! A plate of pasta with olive oil, garlic and parsley cost $22.00, if I want to share it with my child I have to pay an extra $6.00! Ridiculous! We stayed at the Radisson, no kitchen, can't bring our leftovers back with us and have it later! I hate wasting food and money! If the prices were a little more reasonable maybe this wouldn't be such an issue but the prices for food in Aruba are pretty outrageous! This restaurant is NOT worth the money!

the food is quite good, but the services, presentation and enviroment are not. I am from NYC and am very used to high prices, but for what we got, we feel the prices are really WRONG even for new york standards. I will not go back.

I went to this restaurant with my family Dec.22,2007. We had a 9 o'clock reservation and still had to wait a little while. Once we were seated it took almost 1 hour and a half to get our appetizers. We waited and waited and kept asking when our food would be out. After waiting 2 hours and watching other people in the restaurant who were ahead of us, we decided to leave with no food. At that point 3 other families also picked up and left. When we were leaving , I asked to see the manager about 4 times and I was just ignored. I would never go back to this place again. It is over rated and totaaly disorganized. If they cared at all, they wouldn't have even charged us for the appetizers. Bottom line. DO Not Go Here. Over priced, horrible experience.

We went here last night at 7:00. They were out of the artichoke and eggplant appetizers. They had no pizza. On an island with fresh fish everywhere the only fish they had was Dover sole. The lasagna, cheese ravioli and pasta with pesto were good. The ceasar salad was very bland.

mike and jen's review of 12/31/07 really summed it up perfectly. we had a very similar experience----only they forgot to mention that the restaurant had NO PIZZA left! imagine; an italian restaurant that has an entire page devoted to pizza, and several xmas diners looking forward to it---to run out of pizza by 9 pm. AN UTTER AND TOTAL JOKE. also waited 2 hours to be served. A DINING DISASTER THAT IS TO BE DREADED.

This restaurant used to be one we reccomended highly to our friends visiting Aruba, and always a favorite stop when we visit the island.

Not anymore !

The place is a complete joke now. Last night we went for an 8:30PM dinner reservation, and sat in the outside area (actually right off the road ... not too pretty). We placed an order for drinks (Which took 2-3 times to remind the staff to bring), appetizers and normal dinner items (lasagna, pasta, etc). We had the apperizers, stale bread, and some good conversation. It was approaching 10:30 and the main course still did not come. We told the staff we had a 11:00PM engagement back at the Hyatt, and needed to be served promptly. We were told by Miguelina that she told the kitchen several times, but they were not doing anything. Then we asked to see the manager, and told again it would be out soon. Even worse, Miguelina came over with an order, started to serve us, then picked it up to bring to another table.
At 10:45 we told them to just pack the entrees up and we would take it to go. The manager then had the nerve to question our schedule and ask where we were going at 11PM and if it was important. Incredibly rude, mind blowing incompetence and horrible food.
Despite all the problems, they charged us in full for the take out and botched meal, did not pack any of the pasta or other items we ordered (and paid for), and were rude to the end. Their fastest action during the whole visit was to charge our credit card for food they were incapable of even serving us.

When we finally got back to our hotel with the take out entrees, they half done, and absolutely inedible. We ended up throwing away most everything and found food around the bar.

Please do not make the same mistake and visit this restaurant. It is not the same place it used to be, and there are so many more options on this great island. Read the reviews and see for yourself, and please pass this on to your concierge. I am usually not too vocal on expressing my dissatisfaction with restaurants, but this experience goes way beyond any poor service I have ever had. I am very happy there is a forum to help others and prevent them from nightmare.

I really expect (and hope) this restaurant is boarded up or sold to comptent owners the next time we come back to Aruba.

My husband and I liked it so much here we visited twice and were tempted to go a third during our two week stay on the island. The food was excellent with very generous portions. The staff was very friendly and attentive both visits. This will be a place we'll enjoy each trip back.
