Wow!! L.G. Smith's totally went all the way and served us a great dinner. We had heard from many people on the Island to go there, so we went on our last night. It was outstanding. I had the Aruban Seafood Chowder, and my girlfriend the Shrimp Cocktail to start with, and they were awesome! The main course was even better, just like the ambiance. Very stylish decor and with a relaxing background music. The waiter was magnificent, his name was Andrey, what a guy, very professional and he recommended us all dishes! We both had the Porterhouse steak. I loved it, and even my girlfriend ate the whole thing!! Than we still managed to create some room for dessert. We got a recommendation from Andrey again, this time the Mascarpone tart. Probably the best dessert I have ever tasted in my whole life! We will definitely go back to this great place. I would recommend it to anyone!

All tens! That describes our experience at L.G.'s to a tee. The food was excellent, especially the ribeye which was notably better than what we had at Matilde and much, much better than El Gaucho. The service was impeccable and the decor very classy with a nice view of the marina. Highly recommended.

We ate here 3/19 and had the holiday special menu. There were 3 of us in the party and we were all pleased with our dinner. Too much food, actually. The service was top notch and very respectful and friendly. This is a beautiful room with eye pleasing decor, personnel and presentation. Very enjoyable experience. Will return.

The atmosphere is excellent, great view of the cruise ships. My husband took me here for valentines day. We throughly enjoyed the fixed menu that came with an assortment of items I may have otherwise not tried. Everything was cooked wonderfly. I loved the garlic shrimp. Presentation was excellent. Service was very good.

One word, Incredible. Our waiter gave us a history lesson on the restaurant, and he made many great suggestions for what to order. I had seafood chowder, filet mignon, cheesecake, and my wife had rack of lamb. Perfect evening, great experience!! Thanks LG Smith's!!

Dined in LG's last week (again!). Wow, they really know how to do things right! From the moment we walked in the door until we put down our dessert forks, the service and food were EXCELLENT. Tried their new Shrimp Cocktail with a mango yogurt sauce- big shrimp with a delicious Caribbean flair- yummy. I could have cut the Petit Filet with a feather and my husband was thrilled with his Porterhouse. Our server insisted for dessert we try the Mascarpone Tart-- absolutely incredible flavor! When you are in Oranjestad, don't miss LG's!

I have been to Aruba several times, and I am amazed about the consistent quality LG has. All waiters are extremely helpful and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the top-quality steak they are using, certified angus beef. Last time I was there with my girlfriend at the end of December and we had a waiter named Washington, and he went all the way to serve us. I have never seen such an attentive waiter as that guy! My girlfiend had the catch of the day, which was seabass, and I took the porterhouse steak. We shared some, and both dishes were fabulous! For dessert Washington recommended us the Sweetest Taboo, which is basically all kinds of chocolate. Top nodge! My compliments for this restaurant. We'll be back!!

L.G. Smith in two word "THE BEST". Most travelers tend to shy away from Hotel restaurants because they are pricey and with average food. Yet the Renaissance resort goes all out to change that image at their restaurant L.G. Smith. Quality food, Superior preparation and a well thought out menue selection to satisfy everyone's tastes. And if that were not enough, the best service on the Island! Staff cares for the patrons and it shows. the atmosphere is upscale casual and the decor is contempory and warm. Try it and ENJOY
