L.G. Smith's Steak & Chop House

this will be our 8th year going to aruba for vacation..we like to try different resturants but have come to make L G SMITH Steakhouse our favorite..my husband loves the lambchops and i love the steak..they have a great waitstaff, very professional and make sure you have a wonderful time..we can't say enough good things about the resturant and look forward to going back every year..always save room for the desserts..they are yummy...

This place is amazing! After 7 trips we still look forward everytime to eating here! The only reasons the toilets don't get a 10 is they do share them with the casino. Amazing place!!!

In our 2 month stay we have a weekly reservation. Always excellent! Looking forward to our next visit in November.

Just returned from our annual trip to Aruba and what a trip. Weather was fantastic. We always go to Aruba for vacation, but also to celebrate my birthday. We used to celebrate the occasion at El Gaucho and will not go back there as it has gone downhill. We now go to L.G. Smiths and will continue to go there every year. It is one of our favorite restaurants on the island. From the moment you walk in the restaurant you will experience a wonderful dining event. The service is impecable, steaks are out of this world, presentation is appealing and the desserts are to die for. Even if you don't have room for dessert, make room. Definitely a must restaurant and we will look forward to going back in 2009.

Just got back from Aruba and must tell all that are going and looking for a great meal that L.G. Smiths Steak and Chop House is the BEST. Great steaks cooked to perfection and great varied other menu selections. Upscale decor and a friendly waite staff that never rushes you. Have Fun

With all the restarunts. in aruba this was the best. Food was great and presented wel. Best out of all the restarunts I ate at. Evertone must make this a must stop while visiting Aruba.

Having been back in Aruba again this December and enjoying eating at many restaurants during two week vacation, We enjoyed a number of meals. Yet once again what stands out above them all is L.G. Smiths Steak $ Chop House. The entire crew just does it right. Steak cooked to perfection and rack of lamb a REAL treat. Never pass up the creamed spinach and forget about calories and try a few desserts. The setting is contemporary, waitstaff attentive and totally familiar with the menu. Price is in line with the other restaurants which makes it a must try and a real treat.

We come here frequently. Food has always been excellent. There are two private rooms for parties of six or more, and that's what we like to do. It's a special treat. If you are seated in the main dining room, sit back and enjoy the view of the waterfront. Although the restaurant was refurbished a number of years ago, it now needs some updating, especially the bathrooms. My only "complaint" is the restaurant's proximity to the casino. It spoils the atmosphere, especially since the bathrooms are open to the casino clients.

The menu is no more state of the art. I expected some interesting dishes and more variation at the side dishes. The meat quality could also be improved to match the price level.
