Madame Janette

Having been homeowners in Aruba for the last 4 years and having come to Aruba for the last 10 years, this has always been one of our favorite restaurants. We have seen a couple of periods when the service was not as good as it should be but that hasn't been the case for the last 3 years.
Being residents for most of the year, we have tried most of the restaurants here and are intolerant of "tourist food". That is never the case with MJ
and the quality is always excellent as is the service. Quantities are generous and the price is very reasonable.
We consider it the best on Aruba consistantly.

Love the fact that among all of the great (and large) entrees here, there are still some healthy options to choose from. I had the Caribbean Delight salad with the filet mignon - it was perfect and just want I wanted - no heavy sauces, light dressing, healthy, the the filet was cooked perfectly.

We had the pleasure of dining at Madame Janette's while on vacaiton a few weeks ago and I have to say it was the best meal of the week. My husband and I had the crab cakes for an appt. My husband said it was the best he ever had. My daugther and her husband had the potato leek soup and I tasted it and it was just so good. My husband and I each had the steak and lobster tail, augrautin potatoes and it was fantastic. My daughter had the rack of ribs I can't remember what her husband had but know he enjoyed his meal and said it was the best meal of the week as well, I can't wait to go back in November.

One of my top restaurants in all of Aruba. The food is outstanding and the menu has a lot to choose from. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the filet mignon special. The atmosphere is fun and alive and the service is tops. They didn't rush us to order and try to turn the table over. They let us take our time and enjoy ourselves. It total, we were there for about 3 hours. We first came to this restaurant 5 years ago and it's still one of the best. This place is a must see but it's on the pricey side, although you get what you pay for.

Dining at Madame Janette is always the best eating experience in Aruba. We will eat several times, with our friends, during our stay. It is ALWAYS a 10. If you were to select one place to eat - Make it Madame Janette.

My husband, myself and another couple visited this restaurant last October (2008). From the minute we got out of the cab (from the Radisson), it was heaven in Aruba. From the atmosphere to the service, this restaurant is comparable to one of the finer restaurants in Manhattan. The drinks, appetizers, entree and desserts, the waiters, surroundings were all perfect. Can't wait to get back this October. Brava Madame Jeanette!

Madame Janette is my favorite restaurant in Aruba - Year after year, it does not disappoint - The Bread they give you in the beginning of the meal is more like cake - it is so delicious. I order the surf & turf everytime. We went there for my daughter's 20th birthday and they surprised her with their delicious coconut cake and everyone sang to her. I look forward to eating here as much as I look forward to going to Aruba every year. Madame Janette is the best.

Our third trip to the island, and a number of friends said we had to try MJ's. The food was outstanding, great servings, as my wife and I celebrated my birthday. We enjoyed the almond grouper and a pork tenderloin special, finishing them both at lunch the next day. We shared the wonderful house salad and the special dessert of the evening, a chocolate souffle with pumpkinseed ice cream and cherry ragout. WOW! The drinks were generous, and the atmosphere the best. We were never rushed, yet the service was most efficient thanks to Nathan and Edward, two young Asian men who were most attentive and warm. Our water glasses never got below half full. This is a winner!

Haw dare anyone consider any restauranr in Aruba superior to Madame Janette's. Where to start. The food is prepared with the thought of making you come back again. The ambiance, music,and lighting are breathtaking. Ask for the waitrss Wheng (pronounced Wing) and be certain to speak to the everpresent manager Chris.Rather than going to a restaurant it is an experience. You will thank us after you visit Madame Janette.

Solid 10 for MJs tenth anniversary!! We have been coming here for all that time and all is can say is they're doing it right. The restaurant was filled. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and service. Very reliable choice and always consistently excellent.
