Matthew's Beachside Restaurant

I love Matthews. My husband and I visited Matthews three times in three weeks during our January vacation. The food, ambiance, service, and overall environment was sensational. The prices are reasonable and food was sensational. We attended their Wednesday night Kareoke and had the time of our lives. Everyone was so attentive. The only thing missing this year at Matthews was the Tuesday evening violinist, Jorge who was not on the island this year.

Matthew's is absolutely a wonderful fun dining experience. Not only is the food prepared to perfection but it is served by some of the best of the best. You can dine at the bar or the dining room. If you want a quiet, intimate experience that is provided as well, on the beach with lit torches to provide a romantic atmosphere.

The staff, among them being Jorge, Angela, William, Diana, Eveline and Humphrey at the bar are excellent. Not only do they attend to you immediately but they stay attentive to you and are so friendly and fun to be around.

On Wednesday's they have an excellent Karokee evening and add their own special touches to the event. Ricardo leads the show and the place just lights up with more fun.

Depending on what you want whether it be dining in quiet or a little livelier atmosphere at the bar, you will find it at Matthew's.

The great food, atmosphere, and staff will not dissappoint you.

Matthews has to be the best kept secret in Aruba. We stopped in for a drink on our last night in Aruba 2 years ago, and Jorge was so entertaining we ended up staying for 6 hours. You're treated like family from the moment you sit down. Delicious food and fantastic service are always guaranteed, and the bartenders - Jorge, William, Diana, Angela, Eveline, Humphrey - serve great drinks with personality unsurpassed anywhere on the island. If you're looking for a first class dining experience on the water, Matthews can't be beat.

Definitely one of our favorite restaurants here and we will definitely be here again! I had the grouper and asked for it to be blackened. Absolutely scrumptious! Grilled veggies were wonderful and the rice was perfect. Mohitos were the best ones I had on the island. My husband had lamb chops and he said they were very, very good! I would have liked to take our waiter Orlin home with us, just a gem!

Best meal on our trip. Our group tried out the restaurant based on reviews from this site. A few members of our group, including myself, were skeptical that the restaurant was as good as the reviews and it was. We will be back. Highly reccomend the blackened grouper.

We ate lunch and dinner here several times during our stay in Aruba. Matthews is a true 10 across the board. The food is outstanding! The best Tuna on the island...both during lunch in the salad and at Dinner, the Tuna Steak. Ricardo, the manager and the whole waitstaff are great. Sit on the terrace and watch the waves craashing,

Matthews is the best. The drinks are great, the food is great, and the staff is fabulous. A special thank you to Jorge for taking great care of my Grandfatther.

Matthew's is like two restaurants in one. During the day, it is casual fun and at night, very elegant. The constants are that the staff is always warm, professional and family friendly and the food is always fabulous as I have never had a bad meal here. The Chef Salad and Matthew's Salad are great at lunch and for dinner, the chicken parm and the kabob's are both shockingly out of this world.

Great food. Great selection on the menu. The toughest choice is whether to go for breakfast or dinner. Jorge and the crew are amazingly personable and fun!

Based on reviews we chose to go to Matthews for Christmas Eve dinner. We were not dissapointed! The food was excellent, ambiance wonderful and staff very friendly. And we enjoyed watching the crashing waves feet from our table. We look forward to our next trip and a visit back for the best grouper and profitterols on the island.
