Matthew's Beachside Restaurant

Just returned from our 3rd trip and once again Matthew's was by far the BEST restaurant on the island! The staff are incredible - Jorge, Ricardo, William, Angela, Mariella and everyone else there - I cannot say enough about how friendly, gracious and outgoing they all are. Each year they are better than the year before. Matthew's will always be our favorite and will be a large part of why we continue to travel to Aruba!!

I have stayed at the Casa Del Mar for the last three years and have found Matthews Restaurant one of the best around. The food is great, the staff is terrific and we spent most of our time here. Would highly recommend it.

I agree with most everyone's posts here, no better place on the island to get your vacation groove going. The staff is amazing, From Ricardo the GM to the bartenders and waitstaff (Jorge, Wllem, Diana, Montoy) are fantastic. The food is delicious and a very good value. They have one of the best clam chowders I've ever had and their lunch grouper sandwich is to die for (have it with smoked gouda).

Matthews doesn't advertise it much, but they do a "Romantic Dinner" under the stars where they set out tables and chairs out on the beach at Casa Del Mar resort. In my opinion, it's the best deal on the island, Soup, Salad, Surf and Turf and Desert for $75pp. You also get a bottle of champagne. You can't beat it and the food is to die for. Not only do I own a timeshare at CDM, I also own a home in Aruba and visit often. Have tried just about every place on the island, but for my money, this is a fun place in a beautiful setting that cares about it's clientele, is well-run and consistently puts out a terrific product. You can't ask for more than that.

just got home from aruba on 10/30/10. everything about matthew's and the staff is a 10. the food, staff, drinks, location are a 10. have been going to aruba 21 years and there is no greater place on the island than matthew's. love you guys, ricardo, jorge, william, angela, diana, eveline, mirian, luis and rafael. can't wait to come back and eat and drink some more with you.

Matthew's is simply the best. The food is delicious,the setting doesn't get any better,the wait staff is friendly and pleasent always there when needed,you are always greated with a great smile. A pleasurable experience,many thanks to Richardo,Jorge,Angela,Diana,Evelyn,and William they make it even better.
Also Happy Hour is just that.

Matthews is a great place to dine. Staff is outstanding they make you feel so welcome. Especially Jorge, Angela, Diane and Evelyn. The food is great and atmosphere wonderful. Great place to go to watch sunset. Met a couple on honeymoon who had a romantic dinner right on the beach and said it was fantastic.

It always nice being remembered and welcomed with a big warm smile. Service and food is outstanding and that's just the beginning. You can't beat the amazing views and comfortable dining experience. Best happy hour 2 for 1 daily ....amazing!!! Tuesday's all you can eat ribs are to die for. I recommend this place for anyone looking to experience a romantic atmosphere, great food and generous portions. A friendly place for adults and children!!

Three trips to Aruba this year and enjoyed Matthew's a number of times. We had dinner each visit introducing new guests to the restaurant. Each time the service, beach setting and food were excellent. Ricky and his team do a wonderful job of maintaining a consistently high level of service. We look forward each visit to dinner at Matthew's. In our visit this past spring, we made our reservation for Wednesday so that we could party after wards. We had a blast! Our last visit we ate under the stars with torch lites and wonderful service and food. Matthew's should not be missed especially if you're looking for a beach restaurant experience.

Felt like déjà vu as we had our first dinner at Matthews like the last few trips. After a tiring travel day we like to eat at a place close to CLBR. We all enjoyed our dinner. DW had the Pina Colada shrimp & DD and I both had the Grouper – both dishes were excellent. For drinks DW had a Margerita, DD had a Aruba Aribe, and I had a Mojito. With dinner DW & I had a large pitcher of Sangria and DD had another Aruba Ariba. Service all around was excellent - Dante was our server and he’s top notch.

We stayed at the Casa Del Mar 9-18-10 through 9-25-10. We had dinner,lunch and breakfast at Matthews-awesome food and fun! We attended every happy hour Matthews had to offer...different entertainment made it fun and exciting! Karoake night at Matthews is the only place to be....the staff put on an unbelievable show -Ricardo you came out of your shell! No one knew you could dance like that! LOL...

Eveline, Jorge, William, Diana, Angela we miss you...Looking forward to 2011!
