Pure Beach Lounge Bar & Restaurant

We stay at the Divi Aruba Phoenix every year. The menu is very limited and the food is fair. Service is ok to slow.

The food was really not very good, and when we commented that we were disappointed, our server was not kind. I had only taken a couple bites of my burger, and she said the kitchen staff would not take back a half eaten meal. My husband's was half eaten, but mine was barely touched. We talked to someone else, and she wasn't very kind either. When she went to the kitchen to check on it, they had thrown out the half that I had nibbled on. She refused to do anything because from what she saw, I ate half of my burger.

we were just in Aruba for 10 days..stayed at the Phoenix..did stay and enjoy happy hour, and stayed for dinner...it was outstanding..also had lunch there one afternoon, and it was also very good...great service..would recomend it for lunch or dinner..Pat and Patty...from Youngstown, Ohio

After the previous nights dinner at Texas de Brazil, we all wanted some lighter fare tonight & thought this would be a good time to try Pure Beach. It’s an attractive restaurant on the beach, but I thought the seats were too low. DD & DW both love crab cakes and they both ordered the crab cake burger. I had the Kobe burger with cheese & fries. We all enjoyed the food and the drinks & wine were very good. Would definitely go again.

We only stopped here for lunch (thinking we might come back for dinner) and probably would have ordered alot more if we hadn't been so disappointed with our first appetizer which was the crab spring rolls. While the presentation was excellent and they tasted excellent, we only received 2 spring rolls which were about the width of a pencil. They were really good but...we wanted more! And for the price we paid (okay, I guess real crab is not cheap), we should have had more. I usually don't need a heaping plate of food to make me happy but, again, for the price...I only gave the food a "7" because of the value factor.

We recently stayed a week at the DIVI Aruba Phoenix where they recently opened the PURE BEACH Restaurant and Bar. The bar has stools in the pool and around the inside bar as well as the outdoor (but covered) restaurant that overlooks the ocean. We ate lunch each day at the bar and had excellent appetizers of Tuna, Crisy Chicken Wings with spicy Tai sauce, crab rolls, ceasar salad, bites of fried grouper, crab cakes, etc. All were very good with an excellent presentation. Much better than having the standard lunches elsewhere that include mounds of fries! We saw many people order sandwiches that looked very good as well! We ate dinner there one night to take advantage of a 20% off coupon and found our Angus Steak and special menu item of filet tournadoes to be one of the best dinners we had in our 2 week stay on the island! This is still relatively new and DIVI needs to advertise more for this great place as it was very quiet while we were there! Staff was attentive and service was reasonable! Jason, our bartender and waiter each day for lunch was one of the nicest people we encountered!
