My visit to Sushi-ya was a very special event since I was not too much familiarized with the Japanese food. A combination of flavors, presentation of plates and a first class service drove me through a fantastic experience that I want to share with you all: lovers or not of japanese cuisine. In two words. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing. We had eaten at several other restaurants in the area, including another sushi only restaurant. This one was definitely the best. The waitress with awesome. Thanks, Lotte!! She offered suggestions and they were great. We would come back to Aruba just to eat here again.

Thank you Swen and Daisy for the best Sushi in Aruba. I stay at the Playa Linda and have enjoyed many dinners on site and some dinners to go. The sushi bar is deightful, tell the chef your favorites and he will invent a special meal just for you. The staff is always happy and friendly, the chef's exceptional. I will be back in July 2009 and hope they are open for lunch.

We go to sushi-ya quite often. The food from the one downtown is definitely better then the one in playa linda, they also have different menu's which i find very strange and confusing. service in both places (especially the one at playa linda)is very poor

We went to Sushi-Ya Playa Linda and I came there as first time sushi eater, so I was a bit anxious that I wouldn't like sushi at all.

Food
Luckily my anxiouty about Sushi was complety misplaced at Sushi-Ya, because it was just perfect for my taste.
I had chosen a variety of dishes, which had tuna, salmon, octupus and oyster mixed with rice (shared with others) and I loved it all.

Presentation
The presentation of the food was good, because it looked like authentic japanese style, which sets the dining atmosphere to a higher level.
The most funniest thing about it was that you could eat with the authentic japanese wooden sticks, I choose to eat with and it was a nice experience allthough they also had given me the option for normal dining capabilities.

Dessert
Simple perfect, just like the food.

Service
The given us the choice if we wanted the traditional dining tools or the japanese dining tools (wooden sticks).
They also asked us, after seeing we were making pictures, if we wanted a family picture.

Environment
The environment was stunning, because it is an outdoor restaurant so I could look out into the night sky and it was divided into two seperate dining parts.
The parts were a lower and higher part, we sat in the lower part.
The lower part was a place which had a traditional japanese dining area and the higher part had the normal seats and tables for those who do not like to try a traditional japanese dining style.

Toilets
I didn't use them, but they looked nice from the outside.

Childfriendly
I was the youngest (18), so I don't think that applies.

Wheelchair
No one of us has a wheelchair.
