We've been coming to Aruba since 2004 twice a year (January & July) When we asked the consierge to suggest some restaurants for us the first time we visited the island one of them was the Flying Fishbone. You'll need a taxi or a car rental because it is a ways south of Queen Beatrix Airport but the trip is well worth it. First the ambiance is incredible. Your tables are on the beach and in some cases right in the water. The sunsets are spectacular and very romantic. Now to the best part the food. It just is soooooo good from the great choice of appetizers (I highly recommend the cold seafood salad) it's so good one time I ordered it twice (once for an appetizer an one for my main course) to the succulent seafood creations from their award winning chef's. Now if your not into seafood (like my wife) then please order the filet mignon. According to her it's the best filet she's ever had anywhere! Now that's saying something. We just returned from our July vacation (7/19/09 - 7/29/09) and we're already looking forward to the winter one coming up so we can get back to the best restaurant on the planet bar none. Take it from me you won't be disappointed. Bona Petit...Ira Eisgrau

If there was ever a restaurant that left you breathless, fishbone was that eatery. The setting was amazing, the location romantic, and the food to die for. I only wish we had a similar place in the NE. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone we ever meet. The stunning views and the ability to stay cool while awaiting your breathtaking food speaks for itself. The staff was so, so accommodating, that I over tipped. steve & myra

Beautiful outdoor dining on the beach. Get your reservations in ASAP. You want to be as close to the water as possible, if your lucky your feet will actually be in the water. Aim to be there around sunset it is beautiful.

The food and service were excellant. The place is beautiful. My wife and I both had seafood, it was great.

This is an amazing restaurant in Aruba. There are plenty of great restaurants to visit during your vacation and this one takes a little longer to get to (maybe 15 minutes instead of 10) but it is well worth it. Make reservations early so you can have a table actually in the water (yes, in the water -- there are hooks for your shoes). The sunset is beautiful. A great place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or just a special romantic evening.

We rented a Jeep and drove to the Flying Fishbone on our honeymoon. If you are looking for amazing food, great presentation and a relaxing ambiance, this is the place for you. The waitstaff was quick and efficient, the views were incredible and the entire time we ate, our feet were in the sand. The tables outside are arranged directly on the beach, so the sand and the water are directly accessable for great pictures of you and the sunset. Amazing time!!!!!

This was our second time at Flying Fishbone and it was just as good as we remembered. I got the Lobster, which was excellent and my husband got the Osso Bucco which he said was very good and very tender.

Our only issue, which seems to be a problem in Aruba, was the temperature for our bottle of red wine. It should not come out at room temp (which anyone in Aruba would know is about 80 degrees f.) We had to actually chill our bottle of red wine slightly in a wine bucket of ice.

Other than the wine, you can't beat the atmosphere. We were right at the water and saw the sunset....

This restaurants still exists due to its reputation and location, it however does not live up to the expectations now. The staff is very arrogant and pretentious. Location is unique but the tables are rather close to one another. The food is good but not exeptional, which one would expect from a restaurant with the name they acclaim they have. The have difficulty handling food for kids.

I have been going to Flying Fishbone for several years. My previous dinning experience was not as amazing as the times before. I was upset the menu had changed a great deal. I use to love the calamari that was not fried, but accompanied by potatoes, onions, tomatoes and a wonderful dressing. It was amazing. They use to serve buns with 3 types of spreads. I could sit there and eat just that. The atmosphere is the best. I love to go around sunset, but make sure you make reservations. Roxanne was a wonderful waitress! Dessert has never been disappointing. Drinks were very yummy as well. You have to go and try Flying Fishbone at least once to have the experience.
