The best meal we had on Aruba by far and made a pleasant change to get back to some sensible portioned food that you get back in Europe and the UK. The quality, service and price was reasonable compared to UK considering the spectacular setting of the restaurant. Will definetly come back again.

We had dinner at the flying fishbone the night before we left the island and it was the BEST dinner I have ever had. The waiter was excellent, the food was fantastic! and the wine was great. I reccomend this place to anyone. I will go back every year from now on.

I went there for my birthday. I was very underwelmed. The duck I ordered was very gamey. The tables were crowded together and the pictures in the ads do not look anything like what it looks like. There are much better establishments on Aruba to eat.

This is a must. I have been going to Aruba for 18 years you must go to sunset dinner around 6:30pm.Our feet were in the Caribbean waters and sand.
Ambiance setting and food were great.
Gives a whole new meaning to dining out.
Get a table down front
The special was a grouper to die for

Great location, and 2 different options for sunset seating. You can either eat on the beach, or upstairs overlooking the downstairs beach and still a great view of the sunset. Some of the beach seating you can have your feet in the water. The employees are very friendly, from the host to the water server, everyone had a smile and ready to serve you. Food was amazing, we had the grooper special and the filey mignon and lobster tail. Both dishes were very filling. Nice wine selection, and very romantic setting even after the sun has set.
Nice place for a romantic dinner, or a family dinner. Relaxing atmosphere, sandals off and toes in the sand, fresh ingredients used, very helpful staff.

I had read the reviews for this restaurant and had very high expectations. The atmosphere is Awesome! However, that was the only high point to the visit. The staff seemed less than happy that the restaurant was very busy, and the food seemed to just be thrown together. We had a party of four, and none of the appetizers, entrees, or dessert were memorable. We sat down at 7pm, and did not receive our appetizers until 8:15. Dinner wrapped up at 10 with all of our glasses empty and we had to get the check from the hostess. Go for the view, not the food or service.

This is our second time to the Flying Fishbone restaurant and it didn't let us down from our previous visit. It was outstanding. You have to go at sunset. The view is unbelievable. Take your shoes off and sink them into the sand and even sometimes the water. A beautiful atmosphere and the food is outstanding. I purposely did not order an appetizer so I could enjoy my main course more thouroughly. Although, they had a great selection. Just a terrific time overall. We even visited the sister restaurant the Scraming Eagle. That was another excellent experience in itself.

Food was fair, nothing to really rave about. I had a tuna tataki appetizer that was fishy tasting - fresh sushi grade tuna should never be fishy! Service was excellent and the atmosphere / view is spectacular - right on the water. The wine we had was $45 but was worse than a cheap $7 bottle of wine- my wife used it to liven up her lobster bisque. Main couse - grilled shrimp was very good. The waiter admitted he had not tried any of the meals and could not comment on the menu. The menu does have a lot of choices though. Finally, if you are coming from the high rise resort hotel area and using a taxi - you will pay $62 round trip in cab fare. Ouch! I don't think this restaurant is worth the extra cost of the taxi. I found the food / service at Fishes and More or Ruth's Chris Steak House in the high rise area was equal to or better than Fishbone. I would spend the taxi fare on another bottle of better wine.

Just returned from an 8 day stay in Aruba and the Flying Fishbone was where we celebrated our first night on the island. We were NOT disappointed! The setting is gorgeous - right on the beach with your toes in the sand or water, good view of the sunset and friendly service. Food was excellent, one in our party had the scallops and they were perfectly prepared. Others enjoyed the shrimp blue cheese casserole (very tasty, but shrimp slightly overcooked), creole red snapper (ranked as the best snapper he had ever had) and the seafood medley. Everyone left very happy! Appetizers were excellent as well, especially the shrimp and avocado salad. Don't miss the Flying Fishbone while in Aruba!

Great location, although hard to find unless you've been there once. Heard we'd be on the sand and believed it when we followed a barefoot hostess. We took the 2nd row of tables: cool sand instead of water on our feet. Really nice environment. Friendly service. Good selection. Soup of the day(cream of mushroom)and catch of the day(grouper)were great. Sea bass was a bit expensive, but tasty. Wines by the glass were fine. Dessert was good. Have recommended to others headed to Aruba. Go enjoy!
