We had very high expectations heading into this dinner and our expereince was mixed. The cab ride is long, but it's worth it if you're looking for a unique dining experience. The food was excellent. I do not eat seafood and tried a vegetarian opiton that exceeded my expectations in both quality in presentation. My date enjoyed her seafood dish that looked appetizing to me - and I don't eat fish! After such wonderful main courses, I was very dissapointed in dessert, the white chocolate mousse, maybe we just chose the wrong item. The on-the-beach dining was great, but can be a little unbalanced and awkward if you get the wrong the table. The staff was distracted, disorganized and possibly overwhelmed. The biggest downside to this establishment is its distance from the resort area. However, if you have rented a car or are willing to spend the money for the cab fare, the trip is worth it.

This is one of our favorite places to eat. It is well worth the cab ride and they let you eat in peace! You can stay as long as you want-no rush and the change of the menu was worth it. I can'y wait to go back in the fall!

For the price of this place the food should be much better. The soups we started with we ok, but not great. The fish was not cooked properly; We had rubbery squid and all of the fish we ate was overcooked except the red snapper which was the high point of all the entrees at the table. The entrees we tried were tasteless. Also we had a table on the water and were practically falling out of our chair, because it was leaning into the water, a table further up on the beach would have been nicer.

We had a table on the water, so we had to take our shoes off, because they were going to get wet. It was so cool! The food was fantastic! This is our favorite restaurant in Aruba. We rented a car so that made finding the Flying Fishbone an adventure.

Overall - FANTASTIC!

Must have been there the same night when the little boy was running around naked, thought it was funny, didn't bother me. The grilled calamari appetizer was out of this world, entrée was great and the desert was terrific. The tables, they could even them out if they wanted to. What I like about them also they didn't rush you. I can't wait to go back

After hearing so much about this restaurant, we finally tried it on our most recent trip. What a disappointment. Our table, while right at the water's edge, was crooked, and we were sitting at angles in our seats. The tables are also crammed very closely together, making it not quite so romantic. The food was OK, not what we expected. My shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Service was mediocre, our server never even came to see if everything was ok until we were almost finished with the meal. There are neighbors very close, and we had the "pleasure" of watching their young son run around naked in the yard and on their dock while we dined. All in all, we did not feel it lived up to the hype and we will not visit again. Marandi is a far superior restaurant if you want waterfront, romantic dining.

WOW-This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The food was fresh and delicious. My husband and I ordered the a la plate special and the salmon scallop, and tuna tatar appetizer was out of this world. The gouper with the scallops was fresh and amazing. Desert was over the top. Don't miss the brownie concoction if you love chocolate. Atmosphere was wonderful and romantic and nice to have your feet in the sand. I think our waiter was Ruoardo and he did a excellent job!

When we planned our vacation to Aruba my wife and I wanted a romantic sunset dinner somewhere next to the ocean, The Flying Fishbone was it. Our server Jose was great he was attentive to our needs and answered our questions about the menu selections. I had the sea bass, which was cooked perfectly it, just melted in my mouth. My wife had the seafood w/ bouillabaisse. It was also delicious. We even ordered desert which is a rarity. We enjoyed the sunset along with the overall experience that this restaurant had to offer.
