We missed the sunset, but the food made it all good! Also the wine was very good!

We went here on our honeymoon and were somewhat disappointed, this came highly recommended by everyone that had come to Aruba, but the atmosphere was not at all what we expected, sitting in the water was not that great if you want this black tar all over your legs and feet, we requested to be placed out of the water and still were not very comfortable in the awkward layout, tables are very cramped together, not very romantic to me, our waiter was kind of clueless, but the food was good, just not sure was worth the $30 cab ride and bring bug spray!!

When this place was still "undiscovered" the food, service and atmosphere was superb. I couldn't wait to return only to find that it dramatically changed. I will not go back again even though it used to be my favorite place in Aruba. At sunset, it became a picture taking circus with people getting up and hovering over water front tables to get the perfect shot. There are far too many tables than the wait staff and kitchen can handle and the tables set too close, spoil any opportunity for an intimate dinner. The romantic ambiance was replaced with a "daycare" like atmosphere. Kids were everywhere even though their website says that it is not a restaurant for kids! When leaving, I spoke to the manager regarding my displeasure of the changes and he didn't give a care even after I told him I would never return.

My husband and I went there for our honeymoon in August 2008. It was Horrible!! We got eatten alive by bugs and half the restaurant cleared out.

They are so far away from the hotels it was twice the expense of going to dinner any place else, EACH WAY.

The waitress was horrible. The food was average. The only thing redeaming was the view but you can get that so many other places in Aruba that you should take this one off your list!

Several years ago we ate at FF when they first opened. It was one of the most romantic restaurants we'd ever been to. The food and service were excellent as well. We went back a couple of months after that and while the 'wow' factor was less impactful, it was still very good.
We recently returned with a friend from Spain. Except for the fact that it is now more crowded and noisy - therefore not at all romantic - it was still a really lovely experience. Nothing stays the same. While the food and ambiance were very good, our server M'lou was exceptional and the desserts were excellent and large. Most expensive meal of our stay and the longest distance to travel to, but in total have to say it was worth it. Having our desserts at a table in the water was really fun...or was that the wine?! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Flying Fishbone. The setting is gorgeous, the restaurant design is interesting, charming and romantic. How many places can you eat with your feet in the sand, listening to sounds of the water? Our server, Jose, was very helpful and gave us good recommendations. The food is very tasty - we had the catch of the day and the seafood history - with delicious sauces and attractive presentation. A truly wonderful, memorable experience - we highly recommend it!!!

It would not be fair to rate a restaurant on a resort island the same way one would rate a restaurant in Paris. What's important is: Did I have a great experience and would I go back again. The answer in both cases is: "Yes" The food was very good and the setting was amazing. This place is out of the way, but don't miss it.

This was our first visit to the FF. We reserved a table on the rooftop terrace weeks in advance, which was closed upoon our arrival due to a waitstaff shortage. There were ants on the beach and on our table. It took 25 minutes to place a drink order for wine which was on their wine list, but not in stock. The staff was obviously frustrated and short tempered. It was an awful experience and the most expensive cab fare we have ever paid on the island. I expect more from a restaurant that wants to charge $50 if you cancel within 24 hours and requires a credit card for a reservation. We will never go back.
