Another spectacular experience - this was our 5th year in a row. Needless to say, we will be back in July 2009

All I have to say is, "WOW!" This was by far our favorite restaurant on the island. While it did take some time to get there, it was well worth the time. The food was unreal. Service was top-notch. Presentation was only a 9, b/c I had trouble seeing it in the low lighting. Seating on the sand is awesome. I wouldn't say this is a place of children, but they seemed to be welcomed. Call early to get sunset seating on the beach. Again, most definetly worth a visit to this restaurant.

Eating at the Flying Fishbone was a wonderful experience. It is in a great location. It has tables that are practically in the water! It always has a great view of the sunset. It is a little bit hard to find and about a 30 min. drive from the high rise hotels, but it is worth it. Try and get there on a night when the saxophonist is there.

Major disappointment. Started with an email request for reservation that took 4 days to get a confirming reply. Went on to a table for four that was re-set for the 6 of us and white wine that wasn't chilled. When we told the waitress the wine was warm, she replied: wait for it to cool in the ice bucket and see if it isn't better! Went on to same waitress who gave Grouper as one of the "catches of the day" ... only to tell us 5 minutes later when two of us ordered it that, "No, it hasn't been on the menu for several days." Then misinformed two others (who had ordered different dishes) about the dishes they ordered: claimed mashed potato was in the dish but delivered overcooked (mushy) risotto instead. Inattentive throughout the meal; stood around talking with other staff instead. Overall, a big disappointment. We won't be back.

As speaking of walking distance, the Flying Fishbone is for sure not in a short range, but worth any second of the ride. We had a rental car for that day and stopped over on the way back from Baby Beach. We were not really sure if our outfit was a little too casual but it was no problem at all. The food was great - the atmosphere outstanding. We tried the not so common dishes and though not on the cheap side we enjoyed every bite.

This restaurant is unique in that it is not on a strip with shopping or other restaurants. It's a house converted to a dinning experience with a sunset, the option of sitting with your feet in the sand, or splashing your feet in the water. You can't get this just anywhere. A bit overpriced, but well worth it. The food is great. I can't wait to go back!
