Incredible place!! View, food, service, etc. all exceptional. I had mussels to start, lobster and prawns for dinner, and white chocolate cheesecake. My wife had Lobster bisque to start, lobster for dinner, and Irish coffee for desert. It's not cheap, but if you only plan to have one expensive meal, this is the place to have it!! We will come back everytime we visit!!

Great location! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, staff is very friendly and accommodating. And like anywhere else in Aruba it is very expensive, unlike many other restaurants the Flying Fishbone does NOT charge extra if you share a meal! We were a family of 4 sharing 3 appetizers and 2 meals = $150us!

My husband and I visited The Flying Fishbone on January 2 and were somewhat underwhelmed. Although the setting was beautiful, we found the menu to be limited since we try to eat healthy, low-fat foods, and the service was just mediocre. Our server wasn't interested in trying to accommodate our dietary restrictions. It certainly wasn't worth the cost of the round-trip taxi ride.

The flying fishbone is a must visit at least one time that you are on the Island. We sat right on the water with our feet in the sand; a HUGE sunset; and a very romantic setting. 2 drinks a piece; 2 appetizers; and dinner with gratuity====$160. US

Went in August 07, and was easily the best meal of the visit. Definitely a long ride from the hotel district (25$ cab, 30 mins each way), but the appetizer and main course couldn't be beat. Wife and I split some warm goat cheese salad for app, delicious. Had the seabass and after working/cooking in 3 different seafood restaurants on the East Coast US., and always on the lookout for good fish, this was the best i'd had to date. Dessert was average. The service was great. At one point a wind picked up, and flipped my menu into my glass of wine spilling it into the ocean below my table...poor wine...but before I could even blink the waiter has a fresh (and free) glass to replace it. While it was nice watching the sunset at the table, people went crazy taking pictures and running around the beach area to get the pictures...when really the sunsets further North/west were better. Then of course there was the 10 minutes of biting insects that came out after sunset..again, this never happened further north up the beach...but there was bug spray available, and they were gone in a few minutes. Overall, definetly the best restaurant (food & service) on our visit to Aruba. If only it were closer to the north end!

You cannot beat the Flying Fishbone for ambiance. It is quite simply the most beautiful restaurant, tables and chairs set in the sand right to the water's edge and a beautiful sunset at absolutely no extra charge (if you arrive at the right time to see it).

A great wine list accompanies wonderful fresh seafood selections (and chicken and beef for those who don't fancy seafood). My son has the Rib Eye steak every visit (at least 12x to date) and it certainly works well for him. I loved my lobster salad appetizer (I've been experimenting with appetizers at Flying Fishbone in the past 2 years after having lobster bisque about 10 visits in a row.) I have difficulty ordering anything other than my usual entree which is "shrimp, shiitake and blue cheese casserole". On the menu it says "our guests favourite". They're right, it is absolutely wonderful.

HINT: Be sure to have some rolls on the table when you order this dish so that you can soak up a bit of the blue cheese/mushroom sauce. I always ask for a few extra rolls when the entree arrives as usually we've eaten the first round earlier in the proceedings.

They have many good desserts - this time my daughter and I shared the Dutch Apple Pie. After a wonderful cappucino, I forced myself to leave but must admit I never really want to.

We'll be back at Flying Fishbone in March and already I'm looking forward to it.

Its a ride but WELL WORTH IT. this (& MJ) is ARUBA's BEST. Don't miss it. Also Rating the environment a 10 is a understatement. The Flying fishbone has the best waterfront dinning ANYWHERE.

This is a very beautiful setting for a restaurant. I don't know if this was a very off night, but not only was my grouper overcooked to the point of being tough, either it or the 3 shrimp in my appetizer were not fresh because I became ill withing 4 hours of eating here.

My wife and I chose this restaurant for a quiet night away from kids and were happy we did. The beach seating is very romantic and the staff was wonderful. The Flying Fishbone really knows how to make you feel welcome.
