I love this "Gilligan's Island" TV set reminder for its great food, friendly staff, excellent wine choices and the Aruban relaxation it provides. I have told Daniel the owner that I will have my daughter's wedding here. She is only 9 buy I know Flying Fishbone will still be around. Definitely make the trek.

My husband and I dined at the Flying Fishbone while we were on our honeymoon. The atmosphere was wonderful. We had reservations at 5pm, so we were able to see the beautiful sunset. Roxy, our server, was very attentive. She arranged for a piece of the fish that we caught on an afternoon fishing trip to be cooked by the chef so we could try it. We each had steak. It was delicious, and a large portion. The dutch apple pie was very good, too. Because we were on our honeymoon, they gave us a dish of fruit that said Happy Honeymoon with a sparkler. We recommended this restaurant to others at our hotel and will definitely go back on our next trip to the island.

We visited the Flying Fishbone for the first time last week (November '07), and the whole experience was a sensory delight! The food was fantastic- my husband and I shared the wonderful grilled calamari appetizer. His entree was the shrimp/mushroom/blue cheese casserole, and I had the #2 catch of the day (grouper). We passed our forks back and forth all evening, because it was all so good!
Our table and chairs were actually in the water (a first for us!), so we had a wonderful, warm foot bath for a couple hours!
We arrived after sunset, but sitting under the stars, with the lights in the turqoise waters and a gentle breeze blowing made for a beautiful, romantic setting.
This restaurant is definitely on our list of "must-do-agains" if/when we return to Aruba.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. This is a total dinning experience. From the time we were greeted until the time we left, it could not have been a more fantastic night. The food was wonderful and plentiful, the drinks yummy, and the staff could not have been more pleasant. Seeing the wonderful sunset was an added treat. This is definitely a restaurant to go to before leaving Aruba.

Do read any further just go (for sunset). Plan for the 30 minute ride from the High Rise Hotels. A must when in Aruba.

I had dinner in the Flying Fishbone several times during my holiday mid october. Just like the Screaming Eagle, this restaurant is amazing. The food/service are perfect and the sunset here is one of the best on the island. Dinning with your feet in the sea is a true new dining experience.

We love many different kinds of food and can always find a handful of dishes to order on most restaurants' menu and the FF is no exception. My husband had the Catch of the Day - grilled mahi and it was excellently prepared. My dish was good as well, very rich and filling, I had the Shrimp in a Cream sauce with mushrooms (can't remember the formal name of the dish) The setting was very nice eventhough we totally missed sunset. I can imagine that we definitely missed out b/c this restaurant has a prime beach of land. Service was the best on the island and was what we would get back home in a fine restaurant - so this was a treat too. A compliment to the staff on something sort of unrelated - i lost my wedding ring the night of our dinner, in the sand, and all staff members were on the knees in minutes, even with a flour sifter from the kitchen, trying to help my husband and I find my ring. 20 min's later- a staff member found it and we totally appreciated not only their concern and efforts, but their honesty and good intentions! Kudos to the Flying Fishbone!!

Fabulous place for a romantic dinner. However, I think the mosquito's ate more then I did. The staff was gracious and had bug spray on hand, but it caused us to rush through a fabulous meal that I would have enjoyed lingering over. Layer on your bug spray in the "rainy" season so you can concentrate on enjoying your meal

This is a nice place for a romantic dinner. The location itself is not the best but you forget that as soon as you walk in the door and are greated with a lush tropical paradise. The seating on the beach or in the water is heavenly with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food is fantastic- this is a high quality restaurant.

We were there in September of this year and had an amazing time. Albert was our host. I must say that even if nothing else in the resturant was good that Alberts attitude would make me want to go again. But the restuarant was good; excellent, in fact. The food was phenominal. The atmosphere was something you find in dreams...and to top it off Delbert came to play music.
We danced while he played a requested song. He was very friendly. Not just a sax player but someone who you could chat with and not ruin the romantic setting. Simply amazing. Thanks for helping us create those memories.
