This place is FANTASTIC!! one of my favorite restaurants in Aruba, actually, it is my favorite restaurant! I've been to Aruba 6 times now and everytime i've been to the Flying Fishbone, and I will continue to to return. It has a gorgeous environment, where it's right on the beach where you can get an oceanside table, the food is to die for and the service is great! It's a ways of a drive from the hotels and from Oranjestad, but it's completely worth it. This restaurant isn't entirely child friendly, because it's a high end joint, so if you have young kids, don't bring them here. Make a reservation before you go, it's a very busy place at night, so make it for around 5:30/6 pm.. so you can get a table near the water. Gorgeous views and an amazing sunset! Could not ask for anything better out of a dining experience!

after reading reviews here made a point of eating here, not worth the effort to get to the place,
had the corn crab chowder, the scallops in a garlic white/black sauce and the grilled black tiger shrimp. the chowder was ok not great but the 2 entrees looked good but both were tastless and the scallop dish once you strted eating it, the black sauce made everything very unappealing to look at.
service was slow, drinks were small overall would not go back i saw the sunset on eagle beach and enjoyed it better, this was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
i would not recommend this at all.

We went to Flying Fishbone on our last visit and loved it so much we chose it as our anniversary dinner this trip. Again it was fabulous. I made reservation early (5:30) since we were told this was the only time they'd guarantee a table by the water. I was concerned we might be rushed at that time but it turns out quite the oopposite. we dined for 3 hours and enjoyed every minute. for appetizers we had the smoked salmon and the tuna tataki both over greens and for dinner I had the shrimp shii-take in a blue cheese sauce. my husband had the veal chop and both were out of this world. for dessert we split the brownie with ice cream (it was more cake like) but was so good. plan on spending time and money but this restaurant is so worth it

Can I give a better rating than a 10---
how about a 12!!!! This is a "World Class" restaurant. Romantic seating on the water. Go there for sunset. Fantastic, creative food, with excellent service too. Visited last week, and we are previous customers.
One of the best on the island, and one of the best in my life. I wish I could
transplant this restaurant home, so I
could go there all the time. Put this
at the very top of your list to visit.
Thank you again.

If you want a romantic spot to enjoy dinner, then this is the place to be. Imagine dining right on the beach, feeling the sand in your toes, romantic music playing in the background and its just you and your company enjoying food and ambiance. This is a must for anyone planning on visiting Aruba. Request a seat right near the water, its very romantic. They also have a cute bar area and seating inside if you didn't want to be on the beach like setting.

Now on to the food, the appetizers were the way to go. So delicious and generous to share. We each ordered an entree but were too stuffed to finish. Everything was good and even if you do not like seafood they have a lot of carne, poultry and pasta dishes to choose from.

I will be back this May and look forward to having another excellent meal at the Flying Fishbone. You can take a taxi or drive yourself. It is at the end of the island so the cab ride might be a bit pricey, but its worth it.

They were a little slow with getting your drinks out to you, but the food, service, and ambiance more than made up for it! We spent our last night in Aruba here celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. The best sunset from the most beautiful vantage point we experienced our whole trip.

Its a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Aruba.

This is a fabulous restaurant, it was the best dining experience I have had, to date, anywhere! Get there early, by 5:00 to secure a table, in the water. What a thrill!

Another restaurant that we hadn't tried after six years of visiting the island. Left the teenagers at home with Subway and we enjoyed what would be the adult's favorite evening of the week. Since we are familiar with the area, we were not surprised to find this place off the beat and path. We arrived early to get one of those tables at water's edge. It was just as I had pictured...shoes off, in the sand, gazing at crystal blue water. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy night so we didn't get to see a sunset but it was still a fabulous view. We were there about 2 1/2 hours but we never felt we had been forgotten. Quite the contrary...our server was always just a moment away for another drink or with something to eat. All of the food was very good and fresh. We will definitely return in the future.
