the t-bone steak was excellent and the atmosphere was superb! with reference to traveling to and from the resturant, it is better to rent a car for the entire day ($35.00) verses paying $25.00 to $30.00 each way to and from the restaruant; this way, you can enjoy more of the island at will; while the dinner was excellent, i did not think much of the dutch apple pie ~ very dry and too many raisins; we will definitely go there again though ....

We came to the Flying Fishbone on our 2nd night. We were warned that the cab fare to get there would be pricey, it ran us $28 each way, not including tip, but it was MORE than worth it! You take off your shoes and eat at a romantic table with your feet in the sand. The sunset is exquisite, and even once the sun goes down, the place oozes romance! Another young couple got engaged while we were there - what a perfect location! We will definitely be returning!

Just returned from Aruba. Excellent Food and beautiful atmosphere. Make sure you get there by 6 pm and request a table on the right side fo the restaurant so you can see the sunset, it is beautiful. Bring your camera, everyone else does. The service was terrible, apparently we had a new waiter. But the food and view were great. I highly recommend it.

We just returned from Aruba from our 14 th or 15th trip. Several trips ago we decided to try less conventional (make that indoor) restaurants and go for the outside, beach restaurants. We've eaten at the Fishbone our last four trips and this trip we ate there twice. The menu, wine and drink selection, atmosphere, the staff and the food can't be beat. But Marina Pirata is almost as good (but it's almost all seafood--- which is OK with me) and the atmosphere isn't quite as good. Ditto Mirandi.

This restaurant is as close to perfect as you can get. The food, the view, the service. My wife's lobster bisque was the best that she ever tasted. I am not a fish lover,so I had the beef. It was incredible. Its a hard restaurant to find, but it is worth it. We went there on a Thursday night and my wife said that she wished we had saved it for the last night of the trip. Its pricey, but it was the best restaurant we went to on our trip and is probably the best one on the island.

What a meal, what a view, what a location. Has to be one of the most spectacular restaurants i have ever been to. As a world traveler, i have eaten and seen many restaurants, and the Flying Fishbone was one of the best ever. My entire family enjoyed the experience......

This was the second year in a row we went to the Flying Fishbone. I remembered to ask for a table on the right side of the restaurant for a better view of the sunset.
The request was honored graciously and we got an extremely friendly Dutch waiter (I'm originally Dutch, so it was nice to speak my native language). Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate and we had a cloudy sunset.
But that's not all the restaurant is about. It's about wonderful food as well. Every dish we ate (especially the calamari, how tender they were!) was out of this world! The baracuda was our main course, greatly prepared. And the desserts rocked too!
This is in my opinion the very best restaurant in Aruba. And we're used to a lot, coming from the DC area with 7000 restaurants.

Lovely setting, food was excellent with generous portions. We did enjoy sunset, although due to detours on the island took us about 40 minutes from main hotel area at north end. We took our children, 10 and 13 yrs...and although they had no child menu, did split an entree...Next time I would leave them as they don't enjoy it as much as adults...Romantic and lovely--- just a schlep from hotels.
