Excellent restaurant and views. Arrive at 5:30 pm for seaside/sunset seating. Dinner for two, including bottled water and 4 glasses of wine was $140, plus $20 tip. I would return, but such a schlep from the hotels, you must incorporate this restaurant with your daytime tour of the island.

I came sailing Aruba to get my boat safe for the hurricane season. Once I arrived I had a couple of days time to experience the culinary scene on the island. First I tried some nice places nearby like L.G. Smith’s, Le Dome and Aqua Grill. All very nice and worth a try. To get to the Flying Fishbone takes you a longer ride with the cab why I hesitated. But don’t have miss it. All tables are right on the beach, the service is very good, the food is incredible, the atmosphere romantic. I had Foie Gras and Tenderloin and was amazed. Don’t miss the Cheese Cake which makes the dinner unforgettable.

Me and my husband came to Aruba with the cruise ship Carnival Destiny and took the chance to spend the evening for Dinner in the Flying Fishbone Restaurant. We chose the early seating at 5:30 pm which was a fabulous idea. It was nice, quiet and pleasant and enough time until sunset which comes pretty fast. We had the so called Carte Blanche which is a three course surprise menu by the chefs. It was delicious (and very much). Leave some space for dessert! We spent more than two hours and nobody rushed us. Incredible!

My husband and I loved this restaurant. The food was great and unique atmosphere was wonderful. The only complaint was the drinks that we ordered. I don't want to sound like an alcholic in this forum but we both had Aruba Aribas (sp?) and there was very little alcohol in the drinks. I drank 4 of these rum drinks and I didn't really feel anything. I am usually a "cheap date" since I don't drink that often. Normally when we go out to dinner my limit is usually 2 glasses of wine. Once I realized that I drank 4 Aribas and I was totally sober I knew that there was very little alcohol in the drinks. Usually this wouldn't be a complaint but the drinks are so expensive. I don't mind going out to eat and spending money but I don't want to pay for overpriced "punch". We did complain to the manager and he did make 2 drinks for us on the house. A piece of advice: be careful when you go out to dinner in Aruba - if you want a drink with your dinner stick to wine (if you like it) or beer (Aruba's Balashi is very good if you are a beer drinker).

On our first trip to Aruba we followed the recommendation of a good friend and went to the Flying Fishbone; it was amazing. I'm from New York and the Zagat is my bible so fine dining is kind of daily business. Believe me, this is an experience you don't have to miss!

As yearly visitors to Aruba we have tried to sample as many restaurants as possible. We have a few favorites, but
the one restaurant we go back to each year is The Flying Fishbone. Everything about it is wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxing, friendly, romantic, and lots of fun. There is something to say about eating dinner under the open sky with your shoes off and feeling the sand beneath your feet while watching the sun set.
The staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is to die for.
It doesn't matter if you are a group of 12 or just 2 people, the feeling is intimate and wonderful. We recommend it highly.

Flying Fishbones, while far away from the main hotels, is well worth the trip. The food was excellent. I had lobster bisque (big chunks of tender lobster) and the catch of the day which was Mahi-Mahi. My wife had the filet with shrimp skewer. The shrimp was a little over cooked which is the only reason this was not a 10. The crabmeat salad was also excellent. The service was great, and the sunset even better. Sunset tables (next the water) are only gauranteed for the 5:30pm seating, so you will want to go to dinner early this night. If staying at the Marriott, allow 35 minutes to get there.

This place was awesome. the atmosphere is the best. youre right on the water sitting in the sand. very odd setup though, it must have been an old house because to the left and right of the restaurant are houses. during our meal we saw a family on the left with 5 dogs walking around there backyard which is directly on the flying fishbone property. they had this little jack russell mix that kept barking at the guy on the right and his jetski. despite this the food was very good and the atmosphere was great. they have racks next to your table to put your shoes so you can soak your feet in the sand or water. id suggest getting 530 reservations so you can get a table near the sand. everyone should go here. its about a 15 minute ride from downtown. the bathrooms were small and tiny and a dissapointment considering the style, class, and atmosphere at this place. also, if you have small children, have them bring their buckets and shovels to play in the sand.

First of all I have to say that we are very demanding with our restaurants. When Chris said, that she would choose the restaurant I thought "oh god.." But after arriving at Flying Fishbone, sitting at the beach with my feet in the sand, the drink in my hand I thought this is going be a great evening. And it came better. We had the Saint Pierre with sauce truffeé, perfect, and a bargain, where can you find that in the caribbean. When I asked our waitress she knew exactly from where in Alba this truffle came from. I told my wife they are from China but I lost a case of champagne on that. And the waitress told us so much about wine and food, it was fantastic. This is now 4 years ago and we are coming back everytime we are in Aruba. The Fishbone for us is a must !
