A must

My wife and I have been to Aruba eight times, but had never tried Flying Fishbone. A truly great experience on a nice, quiet part of the island. This restaurant had EVERYTHING figured out from the opening greeting to ordering our cab back to our timeshare. Our waitress actually seemed to honestly care that she was doing a good job in taking care of our every need while we were there. Our appetizer was a little slow in arriving and she actually came over to apologize to us for the delay (not a common occurrence). Don't let the 30 minute cab ride hold you back from a great meal, service and great sunset on a quiet part of the island.

IMPECCABLE FOOD/SERVICE

A must go to restaurant whenever we are in Aruba.
From the moment you arrive it is VIP service all the way.
The wait staff are always friendly and accomodating. Renata, was our server & she was topnotch, although from where I sat all the wait staff couldn't do enough for you.
Superb meal every time. Spectacular views of ocean & sunset.
Worth the trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't miss this fabulous dining experience. It's not just a meal.

Great ambience

I have been here a couple times and it has been amazing. The food there could be mediocre and with the view would still be awesome. The bonus is: The food is great as well ;) However, if you are having a couple drinks, have them at your hotel first. Their drinks are very expensive and lack alcohol. Like most bars in Aruba and the islands, the drinks look good but are mostly mixer with just a dash of whatever should be in there. Had a cosmo for $11 and it was a joke. Very sweet and lame. BUT, would go back there in a minute for the food and view.

wow, we actually ended up here as a second choice, the entry is different, no reservation, waited at the bar for a couple of minutes. Told will be a minute to find us a table. We were shocked to be lead down the the water and be seated waterside (actually in the water).
Watch the large fish...chase and eat the small ones... service was good, staff was there when needed and invisible when not needed. Food was wonderful is on the list for must get to places for next year

Flying Fishbone Experience

Dec 31, 2012 - posted by
I took my sister to Aruba to celebrate her 50th birthday.
She had heard from colleagues about The Flying Fishbone Restaurant in Savaenta, Aruba. We decided to try it and we are so glad we did!!!
We were quite pleased with the staff, the beach setting and food. Most of all we were very well greeted and attended to by our waiter - Apple. He was quite attentive and professional.
The food was supurb and varied. My sister enjoyed the beach setting, watching the sun set as we celebrated her 50th birthday in style!
Thank You Flying Fishbone for a memorable experience!

Incredible service

My husband and I dined here the other night. I am vegan and he is not. I emailed ahead indicating my dietary needs. Our server was named Apple and he was incredible. He was at first not happy with what the chef said he could create for me to eat especially since I had emailed ahead. By the time he was done asking me questions, listening to my input and working with the kitchen I had a delicious salad and an amazing pasta dish that should be placed on the menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and very romantic. Definitely ask for Apple to be your server he was so concerned about my eating and the entire staff kept checking on me to make sure I was happy with my meal. I have loved Flying Fishbone each and every time I have gone there.

Amazing romantic

I've never been to such an amazing restaurant before. The food was amazing. The Chilean seabass melted in my mouth and I had the chocolate ravioli which was like nothing I have ever had. The drive maybe a little far from the hotel, but worth it. You can't go to Aruba and not eat here. It is a one of a kind place. Make reservations about a half hour before sunset and ask for a table in the water or as close as you can get!!

Unique dining

We had our 30th anniversary dinner here October 1st. We had the option to sit with our feet in the water but chose the next row of tables away. The tables have stands to hold your shoes so you can dine barefoot in the sand. The food was exceptional; I had the special, Maui Maui, and couldn't have been happier. My wife had lobster cooked to perfection. Not the easiest place to find but miles above the dining experiences nearer the high rise hotels. If this is your first visit make sure this restaurant is on your list, few places like it on earth.

Highly recommend

Edward was our server. He was very attentive and professional. The food was cooked perfectly. I have the scallops and my fiance had the lobster and shrimp combination. Setting was great as we sat outside on the beach and got to see the sun set. Would like to have grabbed an after dinner drink on the upstairs deck in one of the cabanas but didn't get a chance to this time. Great experience all round.
