This 150 old Aruban house with artwork covered walls provided an interesting dining venue. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the ambience. For starters, I ordered a Caesar's Salad which hardly met "Olive Garden" standards. My wife ordered a so-so garden salad (the tomatoes were closer to yellow than red). Her main course was Brazile fish in garlic and butter sauce, and while the preparation was fine, the fish was rather tough. The only plus for the evening was my selection of Keeshi Yena, although the chicken also was a bit chewy. As this was my first and only experience with this dish, I have nothing to compare it to, but I must say that the creole type sauce was very tasty, as was the melted gouda. If you're a casserole fan, this is a "must-try."

My 16 yr old son and I ate here on our last night vacation April. He said this was the most memorable experience and I say dido. This place is like so authentic, this is real Arubian food, oh and the ambiance is so romantic we will definitely go back.

We like this place not only because of the good food, but the cool restaurant inside. Had my Keshi Yena as usual – excellent!! Debbie had Grouper of course, and said it was very good. Had some pumpkin soup and Oyster soup for appetizers. Their pumpkin soup is not like a "butternut squash" soup as others have – this is very pumpkinny (new word for Webster) and unique – is always good! Had some flan for desert – and who doesn't like flan?? Their pan bati and funchi are very good also. The only complaint that I have is that dinner was served with veggies and a small scoop of mashed potatoes. The potatoes were instant and unseasoned. I talked to the owner's sister – and told her that a big mistake to even think of serving. Apparently they ran out of the real thing and made instant, but never again. I tend not to complain, but instant potatoes suck. Other than that – all was great inside, in our own little room in air conditioning. It was too hot and still to sit outside on their patio.

Our second visit to this restaurant, sorry we didn't go more often. WONDERFULL food, great outdoor space to dine, comfortable, quiet. Can't wait to come back next year and dine here again.

we came to the old cunucu house on a recommendation from someone on the beach and didnt know what to expect. when we got there there was only one other table full of people outdoors so we didnt know what to expect. the food was tremendous. we both had the keeshi yena. outrageous!!!!! portion was large, i had to help my wife finish hers. the waiters were very friendly. this was the best dining experience of the week. dont miss it

Quaint, old farm house in Aruba. Food was wonderful. We ate outside, which was perfect in the tropical air. There was a small house cat on the floor, near our table, which underscored the fact that we were NOT in the US. We thought the cat added to the Aruban "laid back" ambiance. Prices were quite reasonable for Aruba. Excellent value, and a memorable dining experience.

We are here on a Friday night and when we got there we thought that maybe we had made a mistake in choosing this restaurant since there was only 1 other couple there who were leaving. My husband had the pea soup and said it was very good. I had Keshi Yena which was excellent and my hubby had the Palm Beach seafood which he enjoyed. He had the flan for desert and said that it was excellent. We had the undivided attention of our waiter. Would recommend this place.

This was my personal favorite meal of the 10 day trip. I had the Keshi Yena and it was outstanding! DH had the Red Snapper and loved it. The service was very attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and the owners were friendly and interested in their customers. A must try!

Maybe it was extra nice because we were here just after the high season period (at the end of august, that is) so it was quiet and wel got all the attention we wanted from the people working there. The old house itself is quite nice and impressice but we were seated outside, nicely close to the bar, little lights all above us... very cosy!
The catch of the day was barracuda and it was GOOOOOOD. My husband had the goat stew an LOVED it. When they gave me the garlic & lemon marinade with my fish instead of the creole sauce, in the end I got both without any problem.
A very nice place to eat. We still have almost 2 weeks here so maybe we'll go again...

We went here for father's day with the family (group of 9, of which 2 babies and 1 kid). We thought the whole setting was very child friendly, but basically that might have been because there weren't hardly any customers! We had lots of space and they let the kids play in the complete section we had at our disposal. The waitress was kind to the kids as well.
Also the food was great, and I enjoyed everything, although not everyone in our group was as enthusiastic. Some minus point I would have to give for the timing. We came in at about 2PM, and only at 3:15 or so we had our meals, being the only large group, together with just two or three couples dining.
Overall this was way better than the over-crowded Driftwood we visited on Mother's day.
